Ottawa will try to beat Montreal for the third consecutive time this season in a difficult back-to-back situation off an upset victory on Monday. The Senators have won three of the four meetings with the Canadiens so far this year, including the past two, which prompted the firing of Montreal head coach Claude Julien. Ottawa has also won four of its last five overall following a 5-1 victory against Calgary as a +135 home underdog, the team’s second in three games versus that opponent. The Canadiens have lost five in a row and seven of their previous eight.
Red Wings vs Blue Jackets | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Blue Jackets -184 Favorites
Columbus hopes to break a season-high five-game skid in this home matchup with Detroit. The Red Wings are coming off a two-game split with the Blackhawks after a 7-2 loss as +180 road underdogs Sunday, with the OVER on a 3-0 run. Detroit upset Columbus 3-2 as a +155 home dog in the last meeting on January 19 to end a five-game series losing streak, also winning for only the second time in 14 games.
Canucks vs Jets | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Jets -142 Favorites
Vancouver ended its four-game skid in the first game against Winnipeg on Monday and will go for two wins in a row in the second game of this back-to-back situation. The Jets saw their four-game winning streak halted, with the UNDER also on a 2-0 run. Opening NHL Odds: Islanders -150 Favorites
New York visits New Jersey for the first time since January 24, going for its fourth win in five games. The Islanders fell 2-0 to the Devils as -165 road favorites in the most recent meeting after beating them 4-1 as -175 home chalk three days earlier, with both games finishing UNDER the total. Carolina finishes a five-game road trip at Nashville after sweeping Florida in a pair of games.
