Capitals vs Bruins | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Bruins -145 Favorites

Boston will try to avoid its third two-game skid in eight games on Friday in the finale of a two-game home set against Washington. The Capitals beat the Bruins for the 19th time in 22 meetings on Wednesday, as Jakub Vrana scored the lone goal in the shootout for a 2-1 victory after each team lit the lamp once in the third. The UNDER has also now cashed in the last two games for Boston and Washington overall.  The Capitals have put together a season-high four-game winning streak following that victory, cashing as +130 road favorites in the opener.

Lightning vs Blackhawks | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Lightning -200 Favorites

Chicago will attempt to bounce back from a disappointing loss to Tampa Bay in the second game of a back-to-back situation. The Lightning won their season-high sixth straight game against the Blackhawks 3-2 in overtime as -220 road favorites on Thursday, rallying from an early 2-0 deficit to beat them for the 11th time in 12 meetings. The UNDER moved to 6-0-1 in Tampa Bay’s last seven games. Prior to the loss, Chicago had won three of four, six of eight and nine of 12. The Blackhawks have also dropped four in a row when playing the second game of a back-to-back.

Wild vs Coyotes | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Wild -135 Favorites

Minnesota heads to Arizona for the first of two games to close out a four-game road trip. The Wild were just swept in two games by the Golden Knights, losing the first 5-4 in overtime on Monday and the second 5-1 on Wednesday, both after closing as +125 road underdogs with the OVER cashing each time. Meanwhile, the Coyotes ended a two-game losing streak with a 3-2 win over the Kings in a pick’em road matchup on Wednesday. Arizona has lost the past three meetings versus Minnesota, with the OVER cashing twice during that stretch.

Blues vs Kings | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Blues -123 Favorites

St. Louis will look to stay perfect on its six-game road trip in the first of two games at Los Angeles. The Blues are coming off a two-game sweep of the Ducks, with each decided by just one goal. In fact, they have won the first three games of their trip by exactly one goal, and all of their last five wins have not been decided by more than that. The Kings are mired in a three-game slump following a 3-2 loss to the Coyotes in a pick’em home matchup on Wednesday after they had a season-high six-game winning streak. The UNDER is 4-1 in the last five games for Los Angeles as well, but the team has won the past three meetings with St. Louis.

Ducks vs Avalanche | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Avalanche -240 Favorites

Anaheim hopes to put an end to a season-high eight-game slide in the first of two at Colorado. Each of the last five losses for the Ducks have been decided by one goal along with six of the eight during the skid, and they have closed as underdogs seven times. Fortunately for them, they have enjoyed some recent success against the Avalanche, winning five of the past seven meetings in the series, including one this season. Unfortunately for Anaheim, Colorado has won three of four overall after blanking San Jose 4-0 as a -210 road favorite on Wednesday.

Golden Knights vs Sharks | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Golden Knights -209 Favorites

Vegas will go for its first five-game winning streak of 2021 in the opener of a season-high six-game road trip at San Jose. The Golden Knights also won four in a row to start the year, as they continue to lead the West Division heading into this trip. They are coming off a two-game sweep of the Wild in front of their home fans, with both matchups finishing OVER the total. The Sharks have lost three of their last four following a 4-0 loss to the Avalanche as +175 home underdogs on Wednesday, with the UNDER cashing for the first time in five games. San Jose has lost four of the past five meetings with Vegas too, and the UNDER is on a 5-0 series run.
