New York will go for its third straight win in the finale of a two-game set at New Jersey. The Rangers routed the Devils 6-1 as -120 road favorites on Thursday, ending a three-game series losing streak. New Jersey had won the previous two meetings this year as well but lost its fourth game in a row overall, with all of those taking place at home. The Devils are one of the worst home teams in the NHL, going 2-8-1 at the Prudential Center compared to 5-2-1 on the road.
Flyers vs Penguins | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Flyers -108 Favorites
This is the rubber match between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, who have split the first two games of this three-game series. The Flyers bounced back from a 5-2 loss in the opener on Tuesday by edging the Penguins 4-3 as -115 road favorites on Thursday, as the OVER cashed for the second game in a row and fourth consecutive meeting overall this season. Philadelphia has now won three of its last four road games while Pittsburgh got star Sidney Crosby (COVID-19 list) back in the lineup Thursday but has alternated losses and wins in its last six overall.
Panthers vs Predators | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Panthers -131 Favorites
Florida will go for a sweep of Nashville in the second game of a five-game road trip. The Panthers edged the Predators 5-4 as -135 road favorites on Thursday despite nearly blowing a 3-0 lead. Florida had lost its previous two games for the first time this season. Nashville has dropped two in a row at home following a two-game winning streak, with the OVER on a 2-0 run. The Predators have also lost four of the past five meetings in this series after that defeat.
Jets vs Canadiens | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Canadiens -153 Favorites
Montreal continued its recent struggles on Thursday and will try to rebound against Winnipeg in the finale of a three-game homestand. The Canadiens fell 4-3 to the Jets as -160 home favorites in the latest meeting, which was their sixth loss in seven games overall. Winnipeg won for the second straight time and sixth in seven games overall, with the OVER on a 2-0 run. The Jets have won the past four meetings in this series, with the OVER on a 6-3 run in the last nine.
Blue Jackets vs Stars | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Stars -140 Favorites
Dallas rides a four-game skid into the finale of this two-game set versus Columbus and will look to pick up its scoring to earn a victory here. The Stars have been outscored 13-4 in dropping four straight, with the UNDER on a 6-0 run in their previous six following a 3-2 loss to the Blue Jackets as -145 home favorites on Thursday. Columbus has seen the OVER cash in its last five games, and the team has won two in a row along with 10 of the past 11 meetings with Dallas.
Wild vs Coyotes | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Wild -132 Favorites
Minnesota wraps up a four-game road trip here and hopes to sweep Arizona in the finale. The Wild rebounded from a 5-1 loss to the Golden Knights by beating the Coyotes by the same exact score as -140 road favorites on Friday, with the OVER cashing in their fourth straight game. Arizona has lost the past four meetings with Minnesota and three of four overall. The Wild have won four of the last five times they have played the second game of a back-to-back situation while the Coyotes have dropped seven of eight under that identical scenario.
Golden Knights vs Sharks | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Golden Knights -200 Favorites
Vegas has put together its longest winning streak of the year at five games and try for a two-game sweep at San Jose in the second game of a season-high six-game road trip. The Golden Knights edged the Sharks 5-4 in overtime as -200 road favorites, with the OVER cashing in their third game in a row. Vegas is expected to have goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury back between the pipes after he was given the night off following 10 consecutive starts.
