Capitals vs Flyers | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Flyers -111 Favorites
Washington will look for its third straight win Thursday in the first of two games at Philadelphia. The Capitals have won two games in a row and six of seven, including a 3-1 victory against the Flyers as -115 road favorites Sunday. They are coming off a 5-4 win over the Devils as -190 home favorites Tuesday. Philadelphia ended a two-game skid including that loss to Washington by beating Buffalo 5-4 as a -250 home favorite Tuesday. The OVER improved to 4-1 in the team’s last five games, but the UNDER is 4-0 in the past four home meetings of this series.
Panthers vs Blue Jackets | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Panthers -123 Favorites
Florida will try to close out what has already been a successful road trip with a victory in the finale of a two-game set at Columbus. The Panthers won the last meeting 4-2 as -135 road favorites on Tuesday, improving to 3-1 in the first four games of their five-game trip. The OVER is also 3-0-1 in Florida’s last four games. Meanwhile, the Blue Jackets have now lost two in a row overall along with seven of nine going back to February 20. Despite their most recent loss, they have still won 10 of the past 13 meetings with the Panthers dating back to 2017.
Jets vs Maple Leafs | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Maple Leafs -175 Favorites
Toronto rides a season-high three-game losing streak into the second game of a three-game home series against Winnipeg. The Maple Leafs lost the series opener 4-3 as -180 home favorites on Tuesday after getting swept by the Canucks in a two-game road series. The Jets have won three of their last four games and seven of nine following the upset victory in the first game, with the OVER also on a 4-0 run. Winnipeg had lost four of the previous five meetings.
Predators vs Hurricanes | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Hurricanes -193 Favorites
Carolina brings a season-high six-game winning streak into the finale of this four-game homestand versus Nashville. The Hurricanes edged the Predators 3-2 in overtime as -220 home favorites on Tuesday thanks to Jordan Staal’s second goal of the game in the extra session. Three of Carolina’s wins during the streak have been decided by exactly one goal, and the team has given up two each time. Nashville fell for the 10th time in the past 11 meetings.
Rangers vs Bruins | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Bruins -185 Favorites
Boston hopes to halt a two-game skid in the first of two home games against New York. The Bruins have enjoyed a lot more success versus the Rangers than the Islanders, winning three of four meetings this season, all on the road at Madison Square Garden. They lost for the fourth consecutive time to the Islanders though on Tuesday in a shootout, falling 2-1 in a pick’em matchup, with the UNDER moving to 4-0-1 in the team’s last five games. The Rangers were just swept by the Penguins in a two-game set after a season-high three-game winning streak.
Lightning vs Red Wings | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Lightning -300 Favorites
Tampa Bay wraps up a five-game road trip with the finale of a two-game series at Detroit. It was not easy, but the defending Stanley Cup champion Lightning rallied to beat the Red Wings 4-3 in overtime in the opener of the series Tuesday after trailing 1-0 and 3-2, cashing as huge -350 road favorites. Tampa Bay has now won 19 of the past 20 meetings, including three straight. Detroit has also lost four in a row overall, with the OVER on a 5-1 run in its last six games.
Blackhawks vs Stars | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Stars -135 Favorites
Chicago will attempt to rebound from a bad loss in the second of two games at Dallas. The Blackhawks are coming off a 6-1 loss to the Stars as +125 road underdogs in the opener of their season-high six-game road trip on Tuesday, spoiling star Patrick Kane’s 1,000th career game. Chicago gave up six goals for the second consecutive game and has seen the OVER cash in three straight, five of six and seven of nine. Dallas has won two of three overall, with the OVER going 2-0-1 during that stretch, after losing four in a row and 10 of 11.
Canadiens vs Flames | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Flames -106 Favorites
Calgary continues a five-game homestand and looks to rebound from a disappointing loss to Ottawa in the opener of a two-game series against Montreal. The Flames have dropped two straight following a 4-3 setback to the Senators as -175 home favorites on Sunday, and they have also lost three of four, five of seven and eight of 11. The Canadiens will be playing back-to-back nights after visiting the Canucks. They have won four of five when playing the second game of a back-to-back though along with six of the past seven meetings in this series.
