Coyotes vs Wild | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Wild -185 Favorites

Minnesota will go for its fourth straight victory in the second game of a three-game home set versus Arizona. The Wild are coming off a 4-0 win over the Coyotes as -200 favorites on Friday, with rookie winger Kirill Kaprizov scoring his first career hat trick and goalie Cam Talbot making 25 saves to record the shutout. The teams had split a pair of games at Arizona on March 5 and 6, but Minnesota has now won five of the past six meetings, with the OVER on a 3-1 series run. The Coyotes have also dropped two in a row overall, with the UNDER cashing in their last three.

Hurricanes vs Red Wings | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Hurricanes -218 Favorites

Carolina rides a season-high seven-game winning streak into the opener of a two-game series at Detroit. The Hurricanes have been outstanding during their most recent run, with four of their last five wins decided by two goals or more, and the OVER going 3-1-1 during that stretch. Meanwhile, the Red Wings are coming off a surprising 6-4 upset victory against the defending Stanley Cup champion Lightning in their last game on Thursday, cashing as +265 home underdogs, with the OVER on a 3-0 run and going 6-1 in their previous seven overall.

Islanders vs Devils | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Islanders -162 Favorites

New York takes a season-high eight-game winning streak into the finale of a three-game series against New Jersey. The Islanders edged the Devils 3-2 as -175 road favorites on Saturday after beating them 5-3 as -210 home chalk in the series opener on Thursday. New Jersey is on a three-game skid overall as well, also losing eight of nine and 11 of 13. However, the Devils have won four of the last five times they have played the second game of a back-to-back, with the OVER on a 3-1 run. The Islanders have dropped three of four in that exact situation too.

Stars vs Blue Jackets | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Stars -123 Favorites

Dallas and Columbus will also play each other twice in as many days when they close out a two-game series at Nationwide Arena. The Blue Jackets won the opener 4-3 against the Stars in overtime as +105 home underdogs on Saturday, ending a three-game losing streak, with the OVER moving to 3-0-1 in their last four games. Dallas has lost three of its last four overall, with the OVER on a 4-0 run during that period as well, and the team has also lost three in a row when playing the second game of a back-to-back along with six of seven.

Kings vs Avalanche | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Avalanche -215 Favorites

Colorado will try for a two-game sweep of Los Angeles in the series finale. The Avalanche blanked the Kings 2-0 as -230 home favorites on Friday, with the UNDER improving to 3-0 in their last three games. Los Angeles has lost two of three overall and six of eight since putting together a season-high six-game winning streak. Surprisingly, the Kings have not dropped two in a row to the Avalanche since suffering through a three-game series skid back in 2016. The UNDER is also 5-1 in the past six meetings, with a total of four goals or less scored four times.

Maple Leafs vs Senators | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Maple Leafs -229 Favorites

Toronto will attempt to rebound from its fourth loss in five games at Ottawa. The Maple Leafs fell 5-2 to the Jets as -210 home favorites Saturday, with the OVER cashing in their third straight game. The Senators have won two of the five meetings so far this year, including a 6-5 overtime victory as +260 road underdogs at Scotiabank Arena on February 15. Ottawa has lost three in a row overall though, with the last two decided by a combined 10 goals to easily finish OVER the total both times. But Toronto has dropped 11 of 14 when playing back-to-back days.
