Flames vs Maple Leafs | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Maple Leafs -161 Favorites
Toronto will try to get off the schneid in the first of two home games against Calgary. The Maple Leafs have lost two straight games and five of six for their worst slump of the season, with the OVER on a 4-0 run. They have won three of the first four meetings this year versus the Flames, who lost their first game under new head coach Darryl Sutter on Wednesday. Calgary had gone 3-0 in the first three games under Sutter before falling 7-3 to Edmonton as a -120 home favorite. The UNDER has cashed in four of the past five meetings, going 9-2-1 in the last 12.
Canucks vs Canadiens | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Canadiens -177 Favorites
Vancouver brings a three-game winning streak to Montreal for the first of two games. The Canucks are coming off a two-game sweep of the Senators as road favorites each time, and they have also won six of their last seven games, with the UNDER on a 6-0-1 run. The Canadiens have gone in the opposite direction after a 4-3 overtime loss to the Jets in a pick’em matchup on Wednesday, dropping three of their last four and 10 of 14 dating back to February 20. However, Montreal has won five of the past six meetings along with 13 of the last 16.
Rangers vs Capitals | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Capitals -139 Favorites
New York is coming off the most lopsided victory of the year in the NHL as the team attempts to now end a six-game winning streak for Washington. The Rangers routed the Flyers 9-0 as +100 home underdogs on Wednesday, scoring seven goals in the second period alone, including a hat trick from Mika Zibanejad. They had lost their previous game to the same team 5-4 as +115 home dogs two days earlier, with the OVER cashing easily both times. But the Capitals have lost the two previous meetings with them this season by a combined score of 8-3, with the UNDER going 2-0. The OVER is 3-1-1 in Washington’s last five games overall.
Blues vs Sharks | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Blues -153 Favorites
St. Louis will attempt to end a season-high five-game skid in the opener of a two-game set at San Jose. The Blues are coming off a 4-1 loss to the Kings as -145 road favorites Wednesday to kick off a five-game trip after going 10-2-2 in their previous 14 away from home. The Sharks were just swept by the Golden Knights in two games on the road, falling to 0-5 against them in 2021. San Jose opens a four-game homestand here but has gone only 3-5-1 at the SAP Center this year. These teams have split the past six meetings, with four of them played at St. Louis.
Golden Knights vs Kings | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Golden Knights -195 Favorites
Vegas will look to extend its winning streak to five games in the first of two at Los Angeles. The Golden Knights completed a two-game sweep of the Sharks with a 5-4 comeback victory on Wednesday as -230 home favorites, rallying back from a 3-1 deficit with a season-high four goals in the third period. The OVER improved to 3-1-1 in the last five games for Vegas as well. The Kings are also coming off a big win on St. Patrick’s Day, upsetting the Blues 4-1 as +125 home underdogs to end a two-game skid, with the UNDER continuing on a 3-0 run. Los Angeles lost the first two meetings with Vegas this year after winning the previous three in the series. Both games between them in 2021 have gone OVER as part of a 6-1 series run.
