Flyers vs Islanders | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Islanders -138 Favorites

New York will look to get back on track after suffering its second straight loss in the second of three games versus Philadelphia. The Islanders had won a season-high nine games in a row before falling to the Capitals 3-1 as -115 home favorites Tuesday. They then lost to the Flyers 4-3 in the series opener as -150 home chalk Thursday, with the OVER ending a 3-0 UNDER run. Philadelphia rebounded from a 9-0 loss to the other New York team – the Rangers – and had lost three of four and five of seven before the win. The OVER is on a 6-0 run for the Flyers.

Flames vs Maple Leafs | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Maple Leafs -150 Favorites

Toronto will attempt to halt a three-game skid in the finale of a two-game series against Calgary. The Flames scored three of the first four goals en route to a 4-3 victory as +130 road underdogs Friday. The OVER is on a 3-0 run for Calgary, which won for the fourth time in five games. The Maple Leafs have seen the OVER go 5-0 in their last five and had won three of the previous four meetings. Toronto has lost two straight and 12 of 15 in the second game of a back-to-back.

Canucks vs Canadiens | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Canadiens -172 Favorites

Vancouver takes a four-game winning streak into the second of two games at Montreal. The Canucks are perfect so far on their current four-game road trip too, winning each of the first three by identical 3-2 scores, including Friday as +160 underdogs. The Canadiens had won five of the previous six meetings and 13 of 16, and they have dropped four of five overall. The UNDER is on a 7-0-1 run for Vancouver, with the team winning seven times during that stretch.

Blue Jackets vs Hurricanes | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Hurricanes -189 Favorites

Carolina hopes to rebound from its second consecutive loss in the second of four games against Columbus. The Hurricanes lost 3-2 to the Blue Jackets in overtime Thursday as -200 home favorites, with the UNDER cashing for the second time in three games. Before the skid, Carolina had won a season-high eight games in a row. Columbus has now won two of its last three games, with the UNDER on a 2-0 run. The Blue Jackets have won six of the past eight meetings.

Rangers vs Capitals | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Capitals -139 Favorites

Washington rides a season-high seven-game winning streak into the finale of a two-game set against New York. The Capitals edged the Rangers 2-1 as -140 home favorites Friday in the series opener, scoring both of their goals in the third period after trailing 1-0. The UNDER improved to 3-0 in their three meetings this year. New York has dropped five of seven and saw the UNDER cash for the first time in three games. Washington has also won 11 of 12 overall.

Coyotes vs Ducks | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Coyotes -123 Favorites

Arizona will try to end a season-high five-game losing streak in the second of two games at Anaheim. The Coyotes dropped a 3-2 decision to the Ducks in overtime as -130 road favorites, with the UNDER cashing in their sixth straight game. Anaheim won for the first time in five games overall, snapping a four-game skid, and had also lost 13 of 15 prior to the victory. The Ducks broke a three-game series skid as well, improving to 2-2-1 against the Coyotes in 2021.

Blues vs Sharks | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Blues -140 Favorites

St. Louis needed a shootout on Friday to stop its season-high five-game skid and will try for two wins in a row in the finale of a two-game series at San Jose. The Sharks fell to 3-6-1 at the SAP Center despite playing a very good defensive game and taking a 1-0 lead into the third period. The Blues improved to 11-3-2 on the road and cashed as -145 favorites, with the UNDER moving to 3-1-1 in their last five games overall. They have split six meetings this year.

Jets vs Oilers | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Oilers -140 Favorites

Edmonton will go for a two-game sweep of Winnipeg in the finale of this brief homestand. The Oilers dropped two of three on a recently completed road trip before defeating the Jets 2-1 as -150 home favorites Thursday. Edmonton will hit the road again for five games following this matchup with Winnipeg, which has alternated losses and wins in its previous eight. The UNDER also halted an 8-0 OVER run for the Jets, who have still managed to split the past four road meetings with the Oilers. The UNDER is 2-0 in the last two meetings after a 4-0 OVER run.
