Panthers vs Blackhawks | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Panthers -129 Favorites
Chicago will try to avoid its longest losing streak of the season in the opener of a season-high six-game homestand against Florida. The Blackhawks have lost four in a row for the second time this season, and they have gone 7-4-2 at the United Center so far this year. They just completed a six-game road trip at 1-5, which included two losses to the Panthers by a combined score of 10-5. The last six losses for Chicago have all been decided by two goals or more, with the OVER on a 5-1-2 run in their last eight. Florida is coming off a 5-3 loss to Tampa Bay as a +120 road underdog on Sunday after winning five of its previous six games and seven of nine.
Red Wings vs Predators | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Predators -165 Favorites
Detroit will look to bounce back from a shutout against Dallas in the first of two at Nashville. The Red Wings had won consecutive games for the first time this season before falling 3-0 to the Stars as +170 home underdogs on Saturday, with the UNDER cashing in their second straight and third in four games. The Predators edged the Stars 4-3 in a shootout as +165 road dogs on Sunday to win for the third time in their last four games, with the UNDER on a 3-1 run. These teams have split four meetings in 2021, with each winning once on the other’s home ice.
Lightning vs Stars | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Lightning -141 Favorites
Dallas continues a five-game homestand with the first of two versus Tampa Bay in a rematch of the 2020 Stanley Cup Final. The Stars have lost all three meetings with the Lightning so far this year, getting outscored 11-3, and they have also dropped seven of eight in the series dating back to the most recent Stanley Cup matchup. Dallas is coming off a 4-3 shootout loss to Nashville on Sunday as a -190 home favorite, the team’s third setback in four games overall as well. Meanwhile, Tampa Bay has won four in a row overall and 13 of 16 over the past month.
Avalanche vs Coyotes | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Avalanche -190 Favorites
Colorado takes a season-high seven-game winning streak into the finale of a two-game set at Arizona. The Avalanche have actually also covered the puckline rather easily in their last six games, with the past five all decided by three goals or more and the OVER on a 4-0 run. The Coyotes have lost four of the five meetings now along with six of seven overall following their latest defeat. The OVER has cashed in Arizona’s last two games as well after a 6-0 UNDER run.
