Opening NHL Odds: Bruins -130 Favorites
Boston returns to action following a hiatus due to COVID-19 and expects to play in front of fans for the first time in more than a year when the team hosts New York in the opener of a season-high seven-game homestand. The Bruins won their last two games before the break, with the UNDER on a 9-0-1 run. The Islanders have also won consecutive games, beating the Flyers twice in their last two following a two-game skid. The UNDER is 4-2 in the last six for New York.
Hurricanes vs Blue Jackets | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Hurricanes -162 Favorites
Carolina ended a three-game skid on Tuesday with a 3-0 win over Columbus and will try to earn a four-game split here in the series finale. The Blue Jackets won the first two games of this series on the road before falling at home in the third, with the Hurricanes cashing as -165 favorites. The UNDER is 3-0 in the first three games of this series and 4-0 in the previous four for Columbus overall. These teams have split the first six meetings so far this season as well.
Red Wings vs Predators | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Predators -180 Favorites
Detroit will attempt to score a goal for the first time in three games in the finale of this two-game set at Nashville. The Red Wings have lost their last two games, getting outscored 5-0, with the UNDER on a 3-0 run. The Predators blanked them 2-0 as -170 home favorites on Tuesday, with the UNDER also cashing for the fourth time in their last five games. Nashville has won four of its last five games overall and had split the previous four meetings with Detroit to start 2021.
Panthers vs Blackhawks | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Panthers -165 Favorites
Chicago will try to win consecutive games for the first time in a month versus Florida in the second game of a season-high six-game homestand. The Blackhawks edged the Panthers 3-2 as +145 underdogs in the series opener on Tuesday to end a four-game losing streak after jumping out to a 3-0 lead. Chicago improved to 8-4-2 at home while Florida fell to 10-4-1 on the road. The Panthers have now lost two in a row and three of four, with the UNDER on a 3-1 run.
Blues vs Wild | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Wild -130 Favorites
Minnesota wraps up a three-game homestand by hosting St. Louis following a two-game sweep of Anaheim. The Wild topped the Ducks 3-2 as -250 favorites on Wednesday and will be playing the second game of a back-to-back situation here. Minnesota has lost two straight in the second game of a back-to-back after winning four in a row under this scenario. The Blues are coming off a 5-1 loss to the Golden Knights as +105 road underdogs Monday, but they have won the past three meetings with the Wild. However, this will surprisingly be the first meeting this year.
Lightning vs Stars | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Lightning -180 Favorites
Dallas is still seeking its first victory against Tampa Bay this year in the finale of a two-game set. The Stars have lost all four meetings with the defending Stanley Cup champion Lightning so far this season along with eight of nine, including their championship series matchup in 2020. The OVER is on a 5-0 run for Colorado. The same can be said for the Golden Knights, who have won six of their last seven games and 12 of 15 to stay atop the division.
