Devils vs Capitals | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Capitals -186 Favorites

Washington will go for a two-game sweep of New Jersey in the finale between the teams on Friday. The Capitals beat the Devils 4-3 as -200 home favorites on Thursday, with the OVER cashing for the first time in their last five outings. Washington has won eight of its last nine games now and 12 of 14 over the past month. New Jersey has lost all five meetings this year, but four have been one-goal games, with the OVER going 4-1. The Devils had also won four of five overall. Both teams have won two in a row when playing the second game of a back-to-back situation.

Ducks vs Blues | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Blues -234 Favorites

St. Louis will put its recent success in back-to-back games on the line in the first of two games versus Anaheim. The Blues are coming off a 2-0 loss to the Wild as +100 road underdogs Thursday, but they have won three of four in the second game of a back-to-back in 2021 and five of six under that scenario dating back to February 21, 2020. Going back even further to 2019, they have won 11 of 14 in the situation. The Ducks will be trying to end a three-game losing streak in this spot, and they have also lost seven of eight, with the UNDER on a 3-1 run.

Sharks vs Coyotes | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Coyotes -120 Favorites

Arizona will close out a four-game homestand with the first of two against San Jose. The Coyotes just split a pair of games against the Avalanche, capped off with a 5-4 shootout victory as +200 underdogs on Tuesday. The OVER is on a 3-0 run in Arizona’s last three games, and the team had lost six of its previous seven prior to that win. Meanwhile, the Sharks are coming off a two-game sweep of the Kings at home after beating them 4-2 as -105 underdogs on Wednesday. These teams split two meetings at Gila River Arena to open the 2021 season back on January 14 and 16, with the OVER cashing both times.

Jets vs Flames | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Flames -123 Favorites

Calgary is back home following a four-game road trip to host Winnipeg in the first of three consecutive games. The Flames will be looking to end a three-game losing streak in the series opener after falling twice to the Senators as big road favorites and once to the Maple Leafs as underdogs. The UNDER cashed in all three losses, with the team getting outscored 7-2. The Jets will finish a season-high seven-game road trip here and have won their last two games, sweeping the Canucks in a pair by a combined score of 9-1. Winnipeg has won three of the first five meetings with Calgary so far this year, with the UNDER cashing in each of the last three.
