Golden Knights vs Avalanche | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Avalanche -160 Favorites

Vegas will try to bounce back from a 5-1 loss at Colorado in the finale of a two-game set between the two best teams in the West Division. The Avalanche closed as -175 home favorites on Thursday and scored four goals in the second period en route to the rout, which was their eighth win in nine games with the OVER on a 6-0 run. The Golden Knights have lost two in a row only twice so far this season, and they had won six of seven prior to the loss. The OVER is 4-1 in the last five for Vegas overall but cashed for the first time in five meetings with Colorado.

Lightning vs Hurricanes | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Lightning -113 Favorites

The two top teams in the Central Division will also square off on Saturday when Tampa Bay visits Carolina for the first of two games. The Hurricanes trail the Lightning by three points in the Central but have played one less game, and they have won their last two following a three-game skid. The defending Stanley Cup champion Lightning saw their five-game winning streak end with a 4-3 loss to the Stars as -170 road favorites Thursday. Tampa Bay has won three of the first five meetings with Carolina in 2021, and the UNDER has gone 4-0-1 in those games.

Oilers vs Maple Leafs | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Maple Leafs -159 Favorites

The battle for first place in the North Division will continue in Toronto when Edmonton visits for the first of two games. The Oilers trail the Maple Leafs by two points for the division lead, but they have won three straight games and can pull even in the standings with a victory here. The last time these teams met at Edmonton a month ago, Toronto pulled off a three-game road sweep, limiting the home team to only one goal with the UNDER cashing twice. The Maple Leafs have dropped six of nine overall since then, but they have won their last two games.

Islanders vs Penguins | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Penguins -108 Favorites

New York will look to stay atop the East Division in the first of two games at Pittsburgh. The Islanders are two points ahead of the Capitals in the East following a three-game winning streak, and they will close out a four-game road trip here. Meanwhile, the Penguins are coming off a two-game sweep of the Sabres to stay within four points of them, with the UNDER on a 7-1 run. Pittsburgh has won four of six versus New York, with the UNDER on a 3-1 series run.

Panthers vs Stars | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Stars -108 Favorites

Florida hopes to end a season-high three-game skid in the first of two at Dallas. The Panthers were just swept in two road games against the Blackhawks, getting outscored 6-2 despite being favored in each of them, with the UNDER cashing both times. The Stars halted a two-game losing streak with a 4-3 upset of the Lightning on Thursday, cashing as +150 home underdogs. But Dallas has lost two of the first three meetings with Florida, and the UNDER has gone 3-0.

Predators vs Blackhawks | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Predators -110 Favorites

Nashville brings a season-high three-game winning streak to Chicago for the first of two games. The Predators are coming off a two-game home sweep of the Red Wings, and they have also won five of their last six, with the UNDER going 4-2. The Blackhawks have gotten back on track lately too, sweeping the Panthers in two games following a four-game skid. However, Chicago was swept in two games at Nashville earlier this year, with the UNDER cashing both times.

Jets vs Flames | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Flames -122 Favorites

Calgary hopes to end a four-game losing streak in the second of three straight home games against Winnipeg. The Flames lost the series opener 3-2 to the Jets as -125 favorites on Friday, with the UNDER on a 4-0 run in their last four overall. Winnipeg has won three in a row following a two-game skid, with the OVER going 9-3-1 in its last 13. The Jets have also won four of the first six meetings with the Flames this season, and the UNDER is on a 4-0 series run as well.

Sharks vs Coyotes | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Coyotes -117 Favorites

Arizona will try to extend its winning streak to three games against San Jose in the finale of a two-game series with San Jose. The Coyotes topped the Sharks 5-2 on Friday in a pick’em matchup, with the OVER cashing in their fourth straight game. San Jose saw its two-game winning streak end, but the OVER is 2-0 in its last two. The Sharks have lost the past two meetings with the Coyotes as well, with the OVER on a 3-0 series run between them in 2021.
