Capitals vs Islanders | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Islanders -118 Favorites
Washington will look to get back on track at New York after the team’s three-game winning streak ended on Tuesday. The Capitals are in the second game of a five-game road trip and dropped the opener 5-2 to the Rangers in a pick’em matchup. The OVER cashed though and is 3-1 in Washington’s last four games. The Islanders also hope to rebound after getting swept in two games by the Penguins on Saturday and Monday. The OVER is 4-2 in New York’s previous six games, and the team has lost all three meetings this season on the road.
Blue Jackets vs Lightning | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Lightning -250 Favorites
Columbus will go for a rare sweep of Tampa Bay in the finale of a two-game road series. The Blue Jackets upset the defending Stanley Cup champion Lightning 3-1 as +190 underdogs in the opener on Tuesday, ending their four-game losing streak. The UNDER cashed in the third straight game for Columbus and for the seventh time in its last eight. Tampa Bay has lost a season-high three in a row with that defeat but has yet to be swept by an opponent in 2021.
Penguins vs Bruins | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Bruins -125 Favorites
Boston will attempt to win consecutive games for the first time since March 18 in the first of two games against Pittsburgh. The Bruins have alternated losses and wins in four games since returning to action from a hiatus due to COVID-19 protocols, and they have also won consecutive games only once since February 12. The UNDER is also 11-2-1 in Boston’s last 14 games. The Penguins are riding a four-game winning streak following a 2-1 victory against the Islanders in a pick’em matchup on Monday. The UNDER is 8-2 in Pittsburgh’s last 10.
Canadiens vs Senators | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Canadiens -208 Favorites
Montreal hopes to win its third straight game in the opener of a home-and-home series with Ottawa. The Canadiens returned from COVID-19 protocols on Tuesday and blanked the Oilers 4-0 as -115 home favorites to close out a three-game homestand with consecutive wins. Meanwhile, the Senators have been off since March 25, which is when they saw their two-game winning streak end with a 3-2 loss to the Maple Leafs as +255 home underdogs. The UNDER is on a 5-0 run for Ottawa, and the team has won three of five meetings with Montreal in 2021.
Hurricanes vs Blackhawks | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Hurricanes -162 Favorites
Chicago ends a season-high six-game homestand with the second of two versus Carolina. The Blackhawks have won three of the first five games following a 2-1 victory against the Hurricanes as +145 underdogs on Tuesday. The UNDER cashed yet again, improving to 6-0-1 in Chicago’s last seven games. The Hurricanes saw their three-game winning streak halted with the loss, and they have also seen the UNDER go 4-2 in their last six games following a 4-2-1 OVER run.
