Three of the last four wins for the Islanders have been decided by exactly one goal, with the UNDER going 3-0. The Rangers have lost two of the first three meetings with the Islanders as well, with the UNDER going 3-0. Both teams played on Thursday, and the Rangers have dropped four of five when playing the second game of a back-to-back while the Islanders have won two of three since losing three in a row in that situation.
Penguins vs Devils | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Penguins -170 Favorites
Pittsburgh hopes to finish its six-game road trip strong with the first of two at New Jersey. The Penguins have split the first four games of their trip following a 5-2 win over the Rangers as +105 underdogs on Thursday, with the OVER on a 3-0 run. The Devils also played on Thursday, stopping their four-game losing streak with a 6-3 rout of the Sabres as -125 road favorites. The OVER has cashed in three straight for New Jersey too along with four of the team’s past five.
Capitals vs Sabres | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Capitals -234 Favorites
Washington will attempt to end a two-game skid in the opener of a two-game road trip at Buffalo. The Capitals are coming off a 4-2 loss to the Bruins as -125 home favorites on Thursday, two days after they were blanked 1-0 by the Islanders as +105 road underdogs. The Sabres saw their second two-game winning streak of the season stopped with a 6-3 loss to the Devils as +105 home underdogs on Thursday. Buffalo has lost three straight and five of six in the second game of a back-to-back situation while Washington has won three in a row under that scenario.
Wild vs Blues | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Blues – 109 Favorites
Minnesota and St. Louis are both coming off big wins heading into this key three-game series. The Wild routed the Avalanche 8-3 as +160 home underdogs on Wednesday for their third victory in four games, with the OVER on a 2-0 run. Meanwhile, the Blues ended a season-high seven-game skid with a 3-1 win over the Golden Knights as +135 home dogs on Wednesday, with the UNDER continuing on a 6-1 run. These teams have surprisingly only played once previously this season, as Minnesota beat St. Louis 2-0 as a -120 home favorite on March 25.
Avalanche vs Ducks | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Avalanche -316 Favorites
Colorado looks to bounce back from its worst loss of the season in the opener of a two-game road series at Anaheim. The Avalanche fell 8-3 to the Wild as -185 road favorites on Wednesday, ending their five-game winning streak. Colorado’s previous four losses dating back to March 6 were all decided by just one goal. The Ducks halted their three-game losing streak with a 5-1 victory against the Sharks as +155 road underdogs on Tuesday. Anaheim has managed to upset Colorado twice in six meetings so far this year, once at home and once on the road.
Coyotes vs Golden Knights | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Golden Knights -224 Favorites
Arizona and Vegas will square off for the first time since they last met toward the end of January in the first of two games at T-Mobile Arena. The Golden Knights took three of the four consecutive games against the Coyotes played between January 18 and 24, with the first two coming on the road and the second two at home. The OVER went 3-1 in those four meetings. Each team has dropped its last game overall, as Vegas fell to St. Louis 3-1 as a -155 road favorite on Wednesday and Arizona lost 4-3 at Los Angeles as -115 road chalk the same day.
Kings vs Sharks | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Sharks -135 Favorites
San Jose will try to beat Los Angeles for a fifth straight time as they meet in their last series of the year at the SAP Center. The Sharks are riding a four-game series winning streak, including a two-game road sweep at Staples Center a week ago, with the UNDER going 2-0. The Kings won the second of the six previous meetings back on February 11 as -105 home underdogs on February 11 but have lost the other five. Los Angeles ended a three-game losing streak with a 4-3 win over Arizona as a -105 home dog on Wednesday to earn a split of the two-game set.
