Jets vs Senators | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Jets -188 Favorites
Winnipeg brings a three-game winning streak to Ottawa and continues a five-game road trip. The Jets won the first two games of the trip against the Canadiens by a combined score of 9-2 despite closing as underdogs each time. Winnipeg has also won five of the first six meetings in this series, including a 4-3 victory as -220 home favorites on April 5. That last meeting started a four-game skid for the Senators, who have been outscored 17-11 during that stretch.
Maple Leafs vs Canadiens | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Maple Leafs -120 Favorites
Toronto rides a season-high six-game winning streak into Montreal before beginning a brief two-game homestand. The Maple Leafs struck a deal for Nick Foligno on Sunday and seem to be going all out to hoist the Stanley Cup this year, and they have also won four of the first five meetings with the Canadiens this year. Montreal has headed the other way, losing three games in a row and four of five since a three-game winning streak, with the UNDER on a 3-1 run.
Red Wings vs Hurricanes | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Hurricanes -400 Favorites
Carolina will try to avoid getting swept by Detroit as a massive favorite in the finale. The Hurricanes were upset by the Red Wings 5-4 in a shootout as -360 home favorites Saturday, and they have now split six meetings in 2021. The odds of Detroit pulling off the sweep are low based on the fact that the team has won consecutive games against the same opponent only once, and that happened in a back-to-back situation versus Columbus on March 27 and 28.
Blackhawks vs Blue Jackets | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Blackhawks -111 Favorites
Chicago hopes to bolster its playoff hopes with a potential sweep at Columbus. The Blackhawks are coming off a 4-3 win over the Blue Jackets as -125 favorites on Saturday in the opener of a five-game road trip, and they trail the Predators by four points for the fourth and final postseason spot in the Central Division. Columbus just traded captain Foligno to Toronto, so it will be interesting to see how the team plays out the rest of the season. The OVER is 3-0 in each team’s last three games overall, but the UNDER is 4-3 in the past seven meetings.
Blues vs Wild | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Wild -130 Favorites
Minnesota will look to turn the tables on St. Louis back at home after losing the previous two head-to-head matchups on the road. The Blues outscored the Wild 12-3 in two home meetings last Friday and Saturday, including a 3-2 overtime victory as -130 favorites in the latest game. After that pair, St. Louis has now won three games in a row to vault into the fourth playoff spot in the West Division, seven points behind Minnesota. The Wild have also lost three of four after winning five of seven, with the OVER on a 3-1 run following a 5-1-1 UNDER run.
Coyotes vs Avalanche | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Avalanche -300 Favorites
Colorado returns home briefly to host Arizona before hitting the road again. The Avalanche just swept the Ducks in a two-game road series, outscoring them 6-1, with the UNDER cashing twice. Colorado has also won seven of eight, with the UNDER going 4-2 in its last six. The Coyotes have fallen out of playoff position due to a three-game losing streak after dropping a pair to the Golden Knights last Friday and Saturday by a combined score of 8-4. Arizona has won three in a row when playing the second game of a back-to-back situation though.
Golden Knights vs Kings | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Golden Knights -188 Favorites
Vegas begins a four-game road trip through Southern California with the first of two at Los Angeles. The Golden Knights are coming off a two-game home sweep of the Coyotes, and they have also won four of the first six meetings with the Kings this season. Los Angeles managed to split a pair at San Jose last Friday and Saturday after earning a two-game home split with Arizona prior to that. The OVER is on a 4-0 run for the Kings and has gone 4-2 in this series.
Ducks vs Sharks | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Sharks -175 Favorites
San Jose will attempt to bounce back from a 4-2 loss to Los Angeles in the opener of a two-game series against Anaheim. The Sharks were making a run at the last playoff spot in the West Division thanks to a four-game winning streak, but they have since dropped two of three, including that setback to the Kings as -140 home favorites on Saturday. The OVER is on a 3-0 run for San Jose as well. The Ducks have lost two straight games and five of six overall, although the lone win during that stretch came versus the Sharks away from home on April 6.
