Jets vs Maple Leafs | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Maple Leafs -182 Favorites
Winnipeg will attempt to close out a five-game road trip with another victory in the finale at Toronto. The Jets are coming off a 3-2 victory against the Senators as -190 favorites on Wednesday, improving to 3-1 on the trip. The Maple Leafs have lost two straight for the fourth time, and twice that led to a three-game skid. But Toronto has won four of the first six meetings, and Winnipeg has lost seven of eight when playing the second game of a back-to-back.
Predators vs Hurricanes | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Hurricanes -174 Favorites
A potential first-round playoff preview will take place when Nashville visits Carolina in the first of two games. The Predators currently sit in fourth place in the Central Division, nine points behind the Hurricanes, who are tied for first with the Lightning and Panthers. Nashville also leads Chicago by four points for the final playoff spot in the Central but has taken control with 11 wins in its last 13 games. Meanwhile, Carolina was just swept in two games at home by Detroit as a favorite of -360 or higher both times and ends a season-high eight-game homestand with this series.
Panthers vs Lightning | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Lightning -147 Favorites
Two of the top teams in the Central will duke it out in Tampa Bay when Florida visits. The Lightning are tied atop the division with the Panthers and Hurricanes and coming off a 7-2 loss to the Predators as -150 road favorites on Tuesday, with the OVER cashing for the fourth time in five games. Florida ended a three-game skid with a 3-2 win at Dallas as a -120 road favorite Tuesday, with the UNDER on a 3-0 run. These teams have split four meetings, with the OVER going 4-0.
Flyers vs Penguins | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Penguins -161 Favorites
Pittsburgh returns home from a six-game road trip riding a three-game winning streak into this intrastate matchup with Philadelphia. The Penguins ended up going 4-2 on the trip overall, with the OVER cashing in the last five games. The Flyers have gone the other direction, losing two in a row, four of five and six of eight to put themselves outside of the playoff picture. Philadelphia has won three of five meetings versus Pittsburgh this year though, with the OVER going 5-0.
Devils vs Rangers | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Rangers -222 Favorites
New Jersey will try to end a three-game losing streak in the second of four consecutive matchups with New York. The Devils were blanked 3-0 by the Rangers as +160 home underdogs on Tuesday, and now they play the next two games at Madison Square Garden before hosting them again in the series finale. New Jersey has also dropped seven of eight, with the OVER still on a 5-1 run despite the UNDER cashing in the last game. New York has now alternated wins and losses in its previous seven games, with the UNDER on a 3-0 run.
Islanders vs Bruins | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Bruins -110 Favorites
Boston begins a key three-game road trip with the first of two at New York. The Bruins currently sit in the fourth spot in the East Division, eight points behind the second-place Islanders, and they will visit the first-place Capitals in the finale of the trip. Boston needed a shootout to oust Buffalo 3-2 as a hefty -320 home favorite on Tuesday, ending a two-game skid. New York has won five of its last six to stay within striking distance of Washington after a 3-2 overtime victory against the Rangers as -130 home favorites Sunday, with the UNDER continuing on a 5-0 run.
Blackhawks vs Red Wings | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Blackhawks -152 Favorites
Chicago will go for its third straight victory in the first of two at Detroit. The Blackhawks are coming off a two-game sweep of the Blue Jackets to open a five-game road trip, with the OVER going 4-0 in their last four. Chicago is still in contention for the fourth postseason spot in the Central Division while the team’s opponent is looking to escape the cellar. The Red Wings are three points out of seventh following an impressive two-game sweep of the Hurricanes, cashing as +280 and +300 underdogs. Detroit has lost five of the six meetings in this series this season.
Blue Jackets vs Stars | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Stars -170 Favorites
Dallas hopes to halt a two-game losing streak in the first of two versus Columbus. The Stars are coming off a pair of 3-2 losses to the Predators and Panthers, with the UNDER on a 2-0-1 run in their last three games. The Blue Jackets have been on an even longer skid, losing three in a row, six of seven and 10 of 12 to fall out of playoff contention. The OVER is also on a 4-0 run for Columbus, which split the six previous meetings with Dallas earlier this year.
