Capitals vs Bruins | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Bruins -120 Favorites
Boston will attempt to win four consecutive games for just the third time this season when the team closes out a five-game homestand versus Washington. Coincidentally, the Capitals were the last team to beat the Bruins in the opener of this homestand, and they did so in an 8-1 rout as -130 road favorites. Washington has won two of three since then to remain atop the East Division after doubling up Philadelphia 6-3 as -145 road chalk on Saturday. The OVER is also on a 6-0 run for the Capitals. Boston has been a much different team defensively since the last meeting though, outscoring opponents 10-3 during its three-game winning streak.
Rangers vs Devils | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Rangers -200 Favorites
New York will also be going for a four-game winning streak in the finale of a four-game series against New Jersey. The Rangers have dominated the Devils through the first three games, outscoring them 13-3, with the UNDER on a 4-1 run in their last five. They are still chasing the Bruins for the fourth and final playoff spot in the East but trail them by four points and have played two more games. New Jersey will be looking to snap a five-game skid after losing the first three games of this series, and the team has also dropped nine of 10. The OVER cashed in the most recent meeting and has gone 6-2 in the previous eight games for the Devils overall.
Penguins vs Sabres | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Penguins -263 Favorites
Pittsburgh will try to sweep this two-game road set at Buffalo and win for the fifth time in six games overall. The Penguins edged the Sabres 3-2 as -245 favorites on Saturday, moving ahead of the Islanders into second place in the East. The UNDER has cashed in two straight now for Pittsburgh as well following a 5-0 OVER run. Buffalo has alternated losses and wins in its last five games, and the team has dropped three in a row and five of six when playing the second game of a back-to-back. Pittsburgh has won two straight in the exact same situation.
Golden Knights vs Ducks | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Golden Knights -225 Favorites
Vegas will look to tie its longest winning streak of 2021 at six in the finale of a two-game road set at Anaheim, where fans were welcomed for the first time this year on Friday. Unfortunately for them, they did not have much to cheer about, as the Golden Knights blanked the Ducks 4-0 as -245 road favorites in the opener, with the UNDER cashing to end a 2-0 OVER run for the defending Pacific Division champions. Vegas has won five of the first six meetings with Anaheim in 2021, and the teams will square off one more time at the Honda Center after this on April 24.
Islanders vs Flyers | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Islanders -133 Favorites
New York hopes to end a two-game losing streak in the finale of a three-game road trip at Philadelphia. The Islanders fell from second place in the East Division to third after getting swept in two games by the Bruins by a combined score of 7-1 on Thursday and Friday. The UNDER is also 6-0-1 in New York’s last seven games. The Flyers are coming off a 6-3 loss to the Capitals as +125 home underdogs on Saturday, with the OVER continuing on a 3-1 run. Philadelphia has dropped three of four, five of seven and seven of 10 following that defeat. But the Flyers have won the last three times they have played the second game of a back-to-back.
Maple Leafs vs Canucks | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Maple Leafs -270 Favorites
Vancouver is finally back in action and hosts Toronto in the first of two games. The Canucks were hit hard by COVID-19, forcing them to postpone a number of games while several members of their team and organization recovered from the virus. Prior to that, Vancouver had lost three games in a row, including two at home to Winnipeg. Like the Canucks, the Maple Leafs are riding a three-game skid, although they still own a three-point lead over the Jets for first place in the North. Toronto won the first three meetings with Vancouver at home but has lost the past two on the road, with the UNDER on a 4-0 series run.
