Bruins vs Sabres | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Bruins -275 Favorites

Boston has not lost since before the NHL trade deadline and looks to tie its season-long winning streak in the first of three consecutive games against Buffalo. The Bruins have won as many as five straight games once earlier this season between February 1 and 12, and they opened their current winning streak with a 3-2 shootout win over the Sabres as -320 road favorites on April 13. Buffalo has won two of three since that defeat, upsetting Washington and Pittsburgh.

Hurricanes vs Lightning | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Lightning -143 Favorites

Carolina will try to bounce back and stay atop the Central Division in the finale of a two-game road series at Tampa Bay. The Hurricanes fell 3-2 to the Lightning in overtime as +100 underdogs on Monday, with the UNDER cashing in their fourth straight game. Tampa Bay moved to within one point of Carolina and Florida for the division lead with the victory, the fourth in six games for the defending Stanley Cup champs. The Lightning lead the season series 4-3, but the Hurricanes have won nine of 12 when playing the second game of a back-to-back.

Blue Jackets vs Panthers | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Panthers -188 Favorites

Florida will go for its third consecutive win and try to sweep Columbus in the finale of this two-game home series. The Panthers doubled up the Blue Jackets 4-2 as -220 favorites on Monday, with the OVER on a 2-0 run after the UNDER cashed in their previous four.  Columbus saw its skid reach six in a row with the loss while the OVER moved to 6-0-1 in the team’s last seven. The Panthers have won six of the seven meetings in this series, with the OVER going 5-2. The Blue Jackets have lost the last four times they have played the second game of a back-to-back.

Rangers vs Islanders | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Islanders -143 Favorites

The Islanders open a key three-game homestand against the Rangers. The Islanders have dropped two of their last three games, but they are coming off a 1-0 win over the Flyers on Sunday as -155 road favorites, with the UNDER continuing on a 7-0-1 run in their past eight. Meanwhile, the Rangers are riding a season-high four-game winning streak, with the OVER on a 2-0 run, but still on the outside looking in at a potential playoff spot in the East Division.

Devils vs Penguins | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Penguins -300 Favorites

Pittsburgh begins an important five-game homestand with the first of three straight versus New Jersey. The Penguins are coming off a two-game split with the Sabres after falling 4-2 to them as -300 road favorites on Sunday. The Devils will look to end a six-game losing streak in this spot, and they have lost three of the first five meetings, including the last two at home. Those two losses to Pittsburgh also started New Jersey’s current skid, with the OVER going 2-0.

Red Wings vs Stars | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Stars -208 Favorites

Dallas looks to extend its winning streak to four games for the first time since opening the season at 4-0 and sweep Detroit at home. The Stars edged the Red Wings 3-2 in a shootout as -265 favorites on Monday for their third consecutive victory. Detroit has lost two straight since putting together a season-high three-game winning streak, with the UNDER on a 3-0-1 run. But Dallas has dropped three in a row and six of seven in the second game of a back-to-back. The Red Wings have surprisingly won two straight and three of four in that exact same situation.

Ducks vs Kings | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Kings -143 Favorites

Anaheim hopes to continue some recent success against Los Angeles in the first of five meetings over the team’s next six games. The Ducks have won two of the first three meetings with the Kings this year despite being underdogs each time, but they have lost two in a row overall. Los Angeles has also lost two straight, with the OVER on a 6-0 run. The Kings have surrendered an average of five goals in their last four losses during that stretch.

Maple Leafs vs Canucks | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Maple Leafs -225 Favorites

Vancouver will attempt to win consecutive games for the first time in a month and sweep Toronto in the process. The Canucks rallied back from an early 2-0 deficit to stun the Maple Leafs 3-2 in overtime as +320 home underdogs on Sunday to end a three-game skid. Vancouver was playing its first game since March 24 due to COVID-19 protocols, and the team remained short-handed but still prevailed in a big upset. Toronto is suffering through a season-high four-game skid and has been favored at -145 or higher in each one, closing at -400 in the last meeting.
