Bruins vs Penguins | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Pick’em -110 Odds

A huge East Division showdown will take place in Pittsburgh on Sunday when Boston comes to town. Both the Penguins and Bruins are chasing the Capitals for the division lead, sitting in second and fourth place, respectively. Boston also trails Pittsburgh by five points in the standings with two games in hand, making this an important game for each team. The Bruins are coming off a 6-4 loss to the Sabres as massive -340 road favorites on Friday, ending their season-high six-game winning streak. Meanwhile, the Penguins doubled up the Devils 4-2 as -300 home chalk on Saturday for their third straight win and seventh in nine games. Boston has won four of the first six meetings in the series this season, with the UNDER going 5-1.

Sabres vs Rangers | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Rangers -275 Favorites

New York will be looking to stay in the playoff race in the East as well when the team welcomes Buffalo to Madison Square Garden. The Rangers are six points behind the Bruins for the fourth and final playoff spot in the division, and they stopped a two-game skid with a 4-1 victory against the Flyers as -160 home favorites on Friday. The Sabres have lost four of the six meetings so far this year, with the UNDER going 5-1. Buffalo halted a two-game losing streak with the 6-4 upset of Boston as a +280 home underdog on Saturday, with the OVER cashing in its second straight game. The UNDER is on a 2-0 run for New York overall after a 3-0 OVER run.

Devils vs Flyers | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Flyers -175 Favorites

Philadelphia opens a four-game series against New Jersey, as the teams square off five times in the last nine for both to end the 2021 campaign. The Flyers are riding out a very disappointing season that has seen them drop three of their last four games, five of seven and 13 of 19 to fall out of playoff contention after finishing second in the Metropolitan Division a year ago. They are 15 points ahead of the Devils, who have already been eliminated and are on a season-high nine-game losing streak. New Jersey was just swept in three games by Pittsburgh, getting outscored 16-9, with eight of the team’s losses during the skid decided by two goals or more.

Blue Jackets vs Lightning | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Lightning -295 Favorites

Tampa Bay will try to stay in contention for the Central Division title and sweep Columbus in the finale of a two-game home series. The Lightning defeated the Blue Jackets 3-1 as -260 favorites in the opener on Thursday, and the defending Stanley Cup champions have now alternated wins and losses in their last seven games. The UNDER is also on a 3-0 run for Tampa Bay.  Columbus will attempt to snap a season-high seven-game losing streak in the first of two games at Tampa Bay. The Blue Jackets have lost eight straight games after that latest defeat, with the UNDER ending a 7-0-1 OVER run in their previous eight. They had split the previous six meetings too, and their last five losses overall have all been decided by two goals or more.
