Opening NHL Odds: Stars -110 Favorites
Roope Hintz scored two goals on Saturday to lead the Stars to a 4-2 win over the Blues and a 1-1 tie in this best-of-seven second-round playoff series. Dallas had been set by oddsmakers as modest +125 road underdogs on the NHL betting lines for Saturday’s contest, with the game turning into an OVER result for totals bettors. Miro Heiskanen and Mattias Janmark also scored for the Stars in the victory, with Ben Bishop stopping 32 of 34 of St. Louis’ shots.
Colton Parayko and Jaden Schwartz replied with tallies on Saturday for the Blues, who had been listed as -145 home betting favorites, while Jordan Binnington made 31 saves on the day. Back in Game 1 last week it was Vladimir Tarasenko who had two goals for the Blues in their slim 3-2 victory as -155 home favorites. The game became a PUSH on the posted total.
The Stars have now won four of their last five games heading into Game 3 of this series on Monday night, including three straight to close out their first-round set against the Predators. The UNDER has only paid out once on the totals in Dallas’ last six outings. The Blues saw a three-game winning streak come to an end on Saturday, as they’d beaten the Jets twice to close out that first-round series before picking up the victory in the opener against the Stars.
