Stars vs Blackhawks | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Stars -182 Favorites
With both teams already eliminated from playoff contention it will be interesting to see how Dallas and Chicago will perform at the United Center on Sunday. The Stars saw the Predators clinch the fourth and final spot in the Central on Saturday with a 3-1 win over the division-winning Hurricanes, rendering this game meaningless. Still, Dallas will finish out the regular season with two more road games, starting with this one.
The Blackhawks sit six points behind the Stars in the standings and ended a six-game losing streak with a 2-1 overtime victory at Carolina as +260 road underdogs on Thursday that also ended their OVER streak at five. Dallas had dropped five in a row before upsetting Tampa Bay 5-2 as a +115 road dog on Friday, with the OVER continuing on a 3-0 run in its last three. Chicago has won four of the six meetings, splitting the two games played at home so far, with the OVER on a 4-0 series run as well.
Senators vs Flames | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Flames -200 Favorites
Another matchup between two North Division teams with little left to play for will take place in Calgary when Ottawa visits the Saddledome. The Flames will wrap up the year with a four-game series versus the Canucks, but first they must play host to the Senators, who surprisingly have a chance to finish ahead of them in the North. Ottawa has two more points than Calgary and six more than Vancouver, but both teams have games in hand that could possibly help make up the difference in the standings.
The Flames have lost two straight games and three of four, with the UNDER going 4-0 during that stretch. The Senators have gone the opposite direction, winning two games in a row, four of five and seven of nine to vault them into fifth place in the division. Ottawa has won six of the eight meetings too, with the OVER going 4-2-2.
