Hurricanes vs Predators | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Hurricanes -154 Favorites
Carolina looks to finish the regular season with a win at Nashville to improve the team’s chances of earning the Presidents’ Trophy and home-ice advantage throughout the playoffs. These teams are already set to square off in the first round after the Predators locked up the final playoff spot in the Central with a 3-1 victory against the division champion Hurricanes as +105 home underdogs on Saturday. Carolina had won the previous six meetings this year, and the team is tied with Vegas for the most points in the NHL with one more game played.
Stars vs Blackhawks | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Stars -182 Favorites
Chicago continued its dominance of Dallas this year with a 4-2 win on Sunday, and the teams will do it again on Monday at the United Center. The Blackhawks will be trying to finish the 2021 campaign on a three-game winning streak after cashing as +100 home underdogs, and one more victory would enable them hit the .500 mark as well at 25-25-6. Meanwhile, the Stars are riding out a disappointing season after winning the Western Conference in 2020. Dallas has dropped five of the seven meetings with Chicago this year, including two of three on the road.
Oilers vs Canadiens | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Canadiens -127 Favorites
Montreal is still looking to catch Winnipeg for third place in the North Division as the team hosts Edmonton in the first of two home games. The Canadiens would have to face the Oilers in the first round of the postseason if that happens, which they might not want to do considering they have lost their last three heading into this one. Edmonton has already clinched second and home ice in the first round after winning four of five, with the OVER on a 3-1 run.
Islanders vs Bruins | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Bruins -154 Favorites
Boston and New York are still battling for playoff positioning in the East Division going into this matchup at TD Garden. The Bruins sit one point ahead of the Islanders for third place in the East with one game in hand, as they then visit the Capitals to close out the season on Tuesday. Boston has lost two of three since putting together a four-game winning streak while New York ended a three-game skid with a 5-1 rout of New Jersey as a -210 home favorite on Saturday.
Lightning vs Panthers | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Lightning -137 Odds
Florida can lock up second place in the Central Division by completing a two-game home sweep of Tampa Bay. The Panthers defeated the defending Stanley Cup champion Lightning 5-1 on Saturday as -115 home favorites for their fifth victory in a row and ninth in 11 games. The OVER is also on an 8-1-2 run in Florida’s last 11 overall. Tampa Bay has dropped four of the seven meetings in this series and needs a regulation win in order to get home ice in the first round.
Canucks vs Jets | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Jets -182 Favorites
Winnipeg hopes to stay in third place in the North Division in the first of two home games versus Vancouver. The Jets are coming off a 4-2 loss to the Senators as -175 home favorites on Saturday after halting a season-high seven-game losing streak in their previous game. The Canucks have experienced similar struggles lately, dropping seven of their last eight games, with the OVER on a 3-1 run. Vancouver still has five more games left too after this series.
Blues vs Kings | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Blues -164 Odds
Los Angeles looks to extend its success against St. Louis in the team’s home finale. The Kings have surprisingly won five of the seven meetings with the Blues this year, and the UNDER has gone 4-1 in the past five. Los Angeles was just swept at home in two games by Colorado though via identical 3-2 scores, with the UNDER going 2-0. St. Louis has lost three games in a row overall along with four of five since tying a season high with a four-game winning streak.
Avalanche vs Golden Knights | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Golden Knights -115 Favorites
The West Division title will be on the line at T-Mobile Arena when Vegas hosts Colorado. The Golden Knights can win their third division title in four years and clinch the Presidents’ Trophy with one more victory, as they finish the season at the Sharks on Wednesday. The Avalanche still have two more games following this one against the Kings at home after sweeping them on the road on Friday and Saturday at Staples Center. Vegas blew out the Avalanche 5-2 as -140 home favorites in the last meeting on April 28, giving the team a 4-3 edge in the season series.
