Oilers vs Canadiens | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Pick’em -111 Odds
Montreal plays its final game against Edmonton and already knows it will meet Toronto in the first round of the North Division playoffs. The Canadiens are three points behind the Jets, who clinched third place Tuesday with a 5-0 rout of the Canucks, and both teams have one game left. The Oilers have clinched second in the North, and they won the last meeting in this series 4-3 in overtime as -105 road underdogs. That was Edmonton’s second victory in a row and fifth in six games, with the OVER on a 3-0 run. The Canadiens are riding a four-game skid.
Maple Leafs vs Senators | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Maple Leafs -244 Favorites
Ottawa will be playing its regular-season finale but will be sitting home again for the playoffs, so the team will likely be going all out here against North leader Toronto. The Senators had won three straight games, five of six and eight of 10 before falling to the Flames 6-1 as +160 road underdogs on Sunday. The OVER has cashed in Ottawa’s last three games as well. Meanwhile, the Maple Leafs have already clinched the division title, but they have struggled a bit in this series this year, dropping three of the eight meetings and surrendering an average of five goals in those losses. The OVER has gone 5-3 in the eight games between them too.
Golden Knights vs Sharks | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Golden Knights -200 Favorites
Vegas blew an excellent opportunity to win the West Division and Presidents’ Trophy on Monday and will now need a win here at San Jose and some help from Los Angeles in its final two games to pull that off. The Golden Knights lost 2-1 to the Avalanche as +105 home underdogs on Monday, playing with only 15 skaters due to injuries and salary-cap constraints. Colorado just needs a Vegas loss and one win to clinch the West and Presidents’ Trophy or a two-game sweep of the Kings with a victory by the Golden Knights against the Sharks. Vegas has won all seven meetings with San Jose in 2021, including the first three at the SAP Center.
Kings vs Avalanche | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Avalanche -278 Favorites
Colorado will look to extend its winning streak to four games in the first of two home games versus Los Angeles. The Avalanche are coming off a 2-1 win over the Golden Knights as -125 road favorites on Monday, and they just swept the Kings in a pair away from home prior to that. Los Angeles lost both games by identical 3-2 scores, with the UNDER cashing each time. In fact, the UNDER is on a 4-0 run for Colorado after the OVER went 3-1 in the team’s previous four games. The Avalanche have won five of the first six meetings with the Kings, with the UNDER 5-1 in those games. In addition, Colorado has won five straight when playing the first game of a back-to-back while Los Angeles has dropped six of seven in that situation.
Wild vs Blues | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Pick’em -111 Odds
The third and fourth place teams in the West Division will meet as Minnesota visits St. Louis in the first of two back-to-back games. The Wild are locked into third and have won two straight and four of five since losing consecutive games to the Blues on April 28 and 29 at home. St. Louis is fourth and has won four of the six meetings with Minnesota this year, including the two played at the Enterprise Center on April 9 and 10. These teams have been involved in some high-scoring affairs, with the OVER 4-1 in the past five meetings. The OVER is also 8-1 in the last nine games for the Wild, but the UNDER is on a 4-1 run for the Blues. Minnesota has won five of seven and 13 of 18 when playing the first game of a back-to-back. St. Louis has lost three of four in the same situation since winning six in a row in the scenario.
