Panthers vs Lightning | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Lightning -149 Favorites

Florida got back into this Central Division first-round playoff series versus Tampa Bay with an upset victory in Game 3 on Thursday and will try to even the series at 2-2 with another win in Game 4 on Saturday. The Panthers rallied to defeat the defending champion Lightning 6-5 in overtime as +120 road underdogs after getting outscored 8-5 in losing the first two games at home. Florida took an early 2-0 lead at the end of the first period but then gave up five goals in the second before tallying two in the third to force OT. Tampa Bay’s Andrei Vasilevskiy took the loss between the pipes after allowing all six goals on 47 shots while Sergei Bobrovsky earned the win after relieving Chris Driedger in the third and stopping all nine shots he faced from that point forward. The Panthers have won four of the past six meetings dating back to the regular season, with the two losses taking place in the first two games of this series.

Penguins vs Islanders | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Penguins -108 Favorites

Pittsburgh looks to take a 3-1 series lead back home in Game 4 of this East Division first-round playoff series at New York. The Penguins edged the Islanders 5-4 in a wild Game 3 on Thursday, holding on for their second straight victory in a pick’em matchup despite giving up three third-period goals. Each of the first three games of this series have now been decided by exactly one goal, with two of them going OVER the total. New York goaltender Semyon Varlamov did not look sharp in his second start back, surrendering all five goals on just 27 shot attempts. Pittsburgh goalie Tristan Jarry was slightly better with 26 saves on 30 shots, as the team won for the eighth time in the past 10 meetings and 11th in 14 games overall.

Canadiens vs Maple Leafs | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Maple Leafs -208 Favorites

Toronto hopes to rebound from a loss to Montreal in the opener of their first-round playoff matchup here in Game 2. The Maple Leafs fell 2-1 to the Canadiens as -210 home favorites on Thursday after winning seven of the 10 meetings during the regular season. The difference this time around was the presence of Montreal goalie Carey Price and winger Brendan Gallagher, as they both played well in their return from injuries. Price stopped 35 of 36 shots to pick up his first victory since April 5 against Edmonton while Gallagher also contributed in his first NHL action since breaking his thumb in that same game. Toronto saw center John Tavares (19 goals and 31 assists) go down early in Game 1 after getting kneed to the head, and he is out indefinitely. The UNDER improved to 7-2-1 in the last 10 games between them.

Golden Knights vs Wild | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Golden Knights -133 Favorites

Vegas is coming off its first regulation win ever at Minnesota heading into Game 4 of their West Division first-round playoff series. The Golden Knights trailed 2-0 at the end of the first period in Game 3 before erupting for three goals in the second period and two more in the third, including two from captain Mark Stone. The Wild looked great early on defensively but saw a potential third goal in the first overturned on a replay that showed they were offside, and they failed to come through as -105 home underdogs. Still, Minnesota has won six of the past nine meetings in this series and owns a 6-1-2 mark in nine home games against Vegas all-time.
