Canadiens vs Maple Leafs | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Maple Leafs -227 Favorites
Toronto will try to close out Montreal at home in Game 5 of their North Division first-round playoff series. The Maple Leafs blanked the Canadiens 4-0 as -175 road favorites in Game 4 on Tuesday, their third straight win in the series, with the total going OVER for the third time as well. Toronto goaltender Jack Campbell was outstanding in posting his first career postseason shutout with 32 saves while Alex Galchenyuk was the star offensively with one goal and two assists against the team that drafted him third overall back in 2012. Montreal has dropped five of the past six meetings now dating back to the regular season and lost eight of nine overall.
Hurricanes vs Predators | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Hurricanes -164 Favorites
One of the best first-round matchups will continue at Nashville when Carolina visits for Game 6 with a 3-2 series lead. The last three games have gone to overtime, with two of them ending in double OT at Bridgestone Arena. The Predators have won the past four home meetings with the Hurricanes, outscoring them by a 17-8 margin. But the Hurricanes won Game 5 in OT on Tuesday 3-2, cashing as -220 home favorites thanks to captain Jordan Staal, who scored the game-winning goal. Staal also scored two goals en route to a 5-2 home victory in Game 1, and he has five points overall in the series. Nashville will lean on goalie Juuse Saros again at home, as he has stopped 205 of 221 shots so far, with 33 saves or more in four of the five games.
