Wild vs Golden Knights | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Golden Knights -162 Favorites
Vegas and Minnesota will go to a deciding Game 7 on Friday at T-Mobile Arena after the latter won the last two to tie up their West Division first-round playoff series at 3-3. The Wild have actually won four of the past five meetings against the Golden Knights on the road, including two of the first three in this series as underdogs. That will be the case again here, as Vegas looks to avoid blowing a 3-1 lead in the first round for the second time in three years. The Golden Knights have never closed out a playoff series at home either, and the Wild have not advanced past the opening round of the postseason since 2015, so something has to give.
Vegas lost 3-0 at Minnesota in Game 6 as a -140 road favorite Wednesday and has totaled only two goals in its last two combined. The UNDER has also cashed four times in the first six games, with goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury posting one shutout for the Golden Knights and fellow netminder Cam Talbot earning two for the Wild. But Fleury has surrendered six goals in his past two starts combined after giving up just four in the first four, so his play versus Minnesota and how the Vegas offense responds in this spot will likely determine the outcome.
