Maple Leafs vs Canadiens | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Maple Leafs -162 Favorites

Toronto hopes to eliminate Montreal in its second attempt on Saturday as the teams meet again in Game 6 of their North Division first-round playoff series. The Maple Leafs rallied back from a 3-0 deficit in Game 5 to force overtime before losing 4-3 as -240 home favorites on Thursday. Toronto had won the previous three games in the series, and the team is trying to move on to the second round of the playoffs for the first time since 2004.

Montreal will obviously be back home for this one but lost the first two there by a combined score of 6-1 to fall behind in this series. Overall, the Maple Leafs have won 10 of the past 15 meetings with the Canadiens.

Islanders vs Bruins | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Bruins -155 Favorites

New York and Boston open the second round in the East Division with Game 1 at TD Garden. The Islanders have lost the past three meetings with the Bruins after winning the previous five, with four of them decided by only one goal, and three decided in overtime or a shootout. New York started goaltender Semyon Varlalmov between the pipes in the first six games though while rookie Ilya Sorokin got the nod in the last two and lost both. Of course Sorokin has been the man for New York this postseason with a perfect 4-0 mark and 2.25 GAA versus the Pittsburgh Penguins in the first round.

Boston is counting on veteran goalie Tuukka Rask to continue his stellar play of late after allowing only two goals total in the last two games against the Washington Capitals in the first round. The Bruins closed as favorites in all five games of that series, and that could be the case again here in the second round as well.
