Flyers vs Canadiens | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Flyers -122 Favorites
The Canadiens have proven to be a tough out going into Game 6 against the Flyers, staving off elimination with a huge 5-3 win in Game 5 as +115 underdogs on Wednesday. Montreal has now scored five goals in each of its two wins, also blanking Philadelphia 5-0 in Game 2 as a +125 underdog one week ago. The Flyers had outscored the Canadiens 3-0 in Games 3 and 4 behind consecutive shutouts from goaltender Carter Hart, who faced a series-high 32 shots in Game 5 and stopped 28 of them before getting pulled for the extra man.
Nick Suzuki scored the go-ahead goal for Montreal at the 10:59 mark of the third period, and the OVER is 1-0-1 in the team’s two wins while the UNDER is 3-0 in the three losses so far. Philadelphia has not scored more than two goals in any of its three wins in the series. One key loss for the Habs is winger Brendan Gallagher, who broke his jaw and is expected to miss the rest of the series. Flyers defenseman Matt Niskanen caused the injury and has been suspended for Game 6.
Blues vs Canucks | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Blues -152 Favorites
The Canucks will look to knock out the defending Stanley Cup champion Blues in Game 6 following a large comeback win in Game 5 on Wednesday. Vancouver cashed as a +120 underdog and trailed 3-1 early in the second period before pulling out a 4-3 victory. Tyler Motte scored the first and last goals of the game for the Canucks while goaltender Jacob Markstrom turned in a strong performance with 36 saves on 39 shots and no goals allowed in the third.
St. Louis had rallied back to tie the series at 2-2 after losing the first two games, but goalie Jake Allen had a tough time in his first loss with four goals allowed on 30 shots. It will be interesting to see if the Blues continue to go with Allen between the pipes or go back to Jordan Binnington. The OVER is 3-0 in the three wins for the Canucks and the UNDER 2-0 in the two losses.
