Sabres at Rangers | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Sabres -120 Favorites
The Sabres are 6-1 in their last seven games and 8-1-1 overall following a home-and-home sweep of the Sharks that was completed on Tuesday with a 4-3 overtime victory as -115 home favorites. The Rangers are riding a five-game losing streak after a 2-0 start, dropping their last two by identical scores of 3-2 at home to the Canucks (-115) and Coyotes (+100).
Sharks at Canadiens | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Canadiens -125 Favorites
The Sharks have lost two games in a row following a three-game winning streak with both coming against the surprising Sabres. They continue a five-game road trip versus the Canadiens, who will be playing for the first time since suffering a 4-3 road loss to the Wild on Sunday as +105 road underdogs. San Jose has won the past eight meetings with Montreal, along with 12 of the last 13.
Hurricanes at Blue Jackets | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Hurricanes -125 Favorites
Two of last year’s postseason darlings will square off in Columbus when the Blue Jackets host the Hurricanes. Carolina got off to a stronger start this season at 6-1, but the team has lost the first two games of a three-game road trip that concludes in Columbus. The Blue Jackets ended a two-game skid on Monday with a 4-3 upset of the Maple Leafs in overtime as +165 road underdogs, with the OVER cashing for the first time in six games.
Wild at Predators | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Predators -175 Favorites
The Wild lost goaltender Devan Dubnyk to an upper-body injury in Tuesday’s 3-0 home win over the Oilers as -125 favorites, and he will miss this game but is considered day-to-day. Minnesota has won two straight games now after a disappointing 1-6 start while Nashville ended a two-game skid with a 6-1 rout of Anaheim as a -155 home favorite on Tuesday.
Kings at Blues | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Blues -205 Favorites
The Kings have won two games in a row following a three-game losing streak, the latest victory coming against the Jets 3-2 as +130 underdogs to open a four-game road trip on Tuesday. The UNDER has cashed in four straight for Los Angeles. The Blues halted their four-game losing streak with a 3-1 win over the Avalanche as -140 home favorites on Monday.
Ducks at Stars | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Stars -135 Favorites
The Ducks have started to cool off since a hot start, losing their last two games by a combined score of 8-2, with goaltender John Gibson dropping four of five starts as well. The Stars have won two games in a row to start turning around their season, as the UNDER has gone 6-1 in their past seven. Former Anaheim winger Corey Perry scored his first goal of the year and added two assists for Dallas in a 4-1 road victory against Philadelphia on Saturday.
Flyers at Blackhawks | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Flyers -143 Favorites
This is a rematch from their season opener in the Czech Republic on October 4 that saw the Flyers edge the Blackhawks 4-3 as -125 favorites. Philadelphia hit a rough patch after that victory though, finally breaking a four-game losing streak with a 6-2 rout of Vegas as a -105 home underdog on Monday. Chicago fell to almost the same team 2-1 in a shootout on Tuesday as a +100 home dog. The difference for the Golden Knights against the Blackhawks though is that Marc-Andre Fleury was in net compared to minor leaguer Oscar Dansk.
Capitals at Oilers | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Capitals -115 Favorites
The Capitals are playing their best hockey of the young season, winning four games in a row and five of six, with the OVER on a 5-0 run. This is the third game of a five-game road trip for Washington while Edmonton is back home where the team is a perfect 4-0. The Oilers did not score a goal during a recently completed two-game trip, getting blanked 4-0 by the Jets and Wild. The UNDER is on a 3-0 run for Edmonton and has also cashed in five of its last six.
Also on today’s schedule: Coyotes at Islanders and Panthers at Flames.
