Blues at Blue Jackets | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Blues -135 Favorites

The Blues will look to get back on track when they visit the Blue Jackets after seeing their seven-game winning streak snapped with a 3-2 loss to the Coyotes as -165 home favorites on Tuesday. St. Louis will be on the road for the fifth time in six games, and the UNDER is 3-1 in the team’s last four games. Columbus has dropped seven of its last eight games, closing as an underdog seven times during that stretch, with the UNDER on a 4-0-1 run in the past five.

Penguins at Devils | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Penguins -125 Favorites

The Penguins begin life without leading scorer Sidney Crosby after he underwent surgery for a core muscle injury, as he will miss at least six weeks. They have won two of their last three games after losing five of seven, with the UNDER cashing in their past two, and will likely need to depend more on their defense in Crosby’s absence. The Devils have dropped three of four and have not scored more than two goals in their last five, with the UNDER going 4-1.

Bruins at Maple Leafs | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Maple Leafs -120 Favorites

Two Atlantic Division rivals collide again in Toronto when the Maple Leafs host the Bruins. The teams have split two meetings already this season, with each of them winning at home as a favorite. Boston has lost four games in a row overall following a six-game winning streak, with the OVER going 5-1-2 in the team’s last eight. Toronto has also lost three straight games after a three-game winning streak, with the OVER cashing in its past two since a 3-0 UNDER run.

Canadiens at Capitals | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Capitals -160 Favorites

The Capitals have been the best team in the NHL so far this season with a league-high 32 points thanks to an 11-0-2 run in their last 13 games. They edged the Flyers 2-1 in a shootout on Wednesday, with the UNDER cashing for just the second time in 14 games, and are playing even better than they did when they hoisted the Stanley Cup two years ago. The Canadiens have won three of four games and six of eight, with the UNDER on a 3-0 run.

Flyers at Senators | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Flyers -145 Favorites

The Senators will try to win consecutive games for the second time in five games after failing to accomplish that feat in their first 14 to start the year. Ottawa is coming of a 4-2 win at New Jersey on Wednesday as a +165 road underdog and saw the UNDER cash for the fourth time in five games. The Flyers also played Wednesday and fell 2-1 to the Capitals as +100 home dogs, ending their four-game winning streak. The UNDER is on a 5-0 run for Philadelphia.
