Opening NHL Odds: Capitals -123 Favorites
Two of the Eastern Conference’s best teams will meet for the second time this season on Wednesday when the Metropolitan Division-leading Capitals host the Atlantic Division-leading Bruins. Washington took the first meeting 3-2 at Boston in a shootout as a -105 road underdog on November 16 thanks to a game-winning shot from Jakub Vrana. Senators at Canadiens | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Canadiens -200 Favorites
The Canadiens will be playing on consecutive nights as they host the Senators after upsetting the Penguins 4-1 as +120 road underdogs on Tuesday. Montreal has not fared well recently in this situation, losing six of the last eight times when playing the second game of a back-to-back. The UNDER is also on a 4-0-1 run in the last five for the team overall. Meanwhile, Ottawa is coming off a 5-2 upset of Boston as a +160 home underdog on Monday, winning for the second time in three games following a five-game skid. The OVER is on a 4-0 run for the Senators, who have lost three of the past four meetings and nine of the last 12 in the series.
Flyers at Avalanche | OddsShark Matchup Report
Opening NHL Odds: Avalanche -146 Favorites
The Flyers begin a three-game road trip when they visit the Avalanche after winning six of their last seven. Philadelphia has gone 7-6-1 away from home so far this season while Colorado owns one of the NHL’s best home marks at 8-3-2. The Avalanche saw their six-game winning streak come to an end with a 5-4 overtime loss to the Calgary Flames as -140 home favorites on Monday, with the OVER cashing for the first time in four games.
