The third-string goaltending carosuel continues as the New Jersey Devils have claimed Aaron Dell. The Toronto Maple Leafs waived him Sunday, and now he has a new home. One has to wonder if the carousel will continue, as the Devils will now have four goalies between their roster and taxi squad.
Could Eric Comrie be on waivers once again this week? Time will tell..

Patrik Laine is out for at least Monday night after suffering an upper body injury. He was skating with the Jets for their morning skate Monday, but “left the ice pretty quickly,” Johnston reported.
Head coach Paul Maurice said Laine is conisdred day-to-day.
J.T. Miller returns
My understand is that JT Miller will be practicing with the #canucks today in Calgary. He has been cleared by health officials and the league to rejoin the team. Took a private Jet to Alberta.

J.T. Miller is set to return Monday night against the Calgary Flames. He had been placed on the COVID-19 list due to being in protocols as a close contact but will be active against the Flames.
IIHF moves men’s worlds
The IIHF has moved the men’s world championships out of Belarus. Citing safety concerns and threats from sponsors to pull out, the IIHF said its council “determined that it is currently impossible to ensure the welfare of teams, spectators and officials” in Belarus.
“Criticism of Belarus’ role as co-host grew after authoritarian president Alexander Lukashenko’s disputed re-election last year was followed by mass arrests at largely peaceful demonstrations,” wrote the Associated Press.
The IIHF says Latvia could remain as a co-host, or the championships could move to a single venue, the AP reported.
