Daily Faceoff announces partnership with ESPN+

DailyFaceoff is announcing a new content partnership that will bring an in-depth look at the NHL ahead of its 105th season.
The ever-expanding content team at DailyFaceoff will be diving in with a look at all 32 teams ahead and into the start of the 2021-22 season looking at the latest moves the teams made and where their future is heading. One article will feature the deepest of all dives into the Seattle Kraken.
DailyFaceoff will also be diving into season-long predictions where our panel of writers will dish some hot takes predicting the standings, individual awards, and others. These articles will air on Oct. 9, 10, and 11 ahead of the NHL season facing off on Oct. 12.
The series officially begins on Wednesday, Sept. 22 with previews of the Buffalo Sabres and Anaheim Ducks, and articles will come out every day through Oct. 30. Team previews are set to be posted in inverse order of the 2020-21 season standings.
In March, the NHL and ESPN announced a long-term agreement that gives the sports company rights to NHL games through the 2027-28 season. In four of seven years in the agreement, the Stanley Cup Final will air on ABC, while being simulcast on ESPN+ and additional ESPN networks.
ESPN+ will air the historic season-opening doubleheader on Oct. with the Pittsburgh Penguins visiting the defending Stanley Cup Champion Tampa Bay Lightning at 7:30 p.m. EST followed by the first game in Seattle Kraken history as they pay a visit to the Vegas Golden Knights at 10 p.m. EST.
