We’ve got a small three-game slate tonight, and several players at each position are jumping out as great value options who are either in critical roles for their team or proving great production.

This value sheet includes salaries, projections for DraftKings and FanDuel, and three punt defencemen options.

These projections don’t tell you exactly what’s going to happen. One game sample has too much randomness to pin down exact predictions. Instead, the projections represent a player’s average performance on average if that matchup was played repeatedly. There is a wide range of possible outcomes, and the projections represent each player’s average of those possibilities.

FULL DFO Daily Projections

Dylan Strome (C, WSH) – @ CBJ – (DK-$5,000 / FD -$6,400)
DFO Projection:
DK-10.9 / FD-14.5

Both Nathan MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen are the true best value plays on the slate, despite their enormous salaries, so Strome coming in as one of the best value plays at a significantly lower salary makes sense. He’s red hot with three goals and six points in his last five games, with a great matchup against the lowly Blue Jackets.

Valtteri Puustinen (W, PIT) – vs. CAR – ($4,300 / $4,700)
DFO Projection:
DK-7.3 / FD-9.79

In thanks to the best matchup of any Penguins lines, Puustinen is popping as a solid value option tonight. While his line has struggled to score, he hasn’t with four assists in five games this season. He also sees time on the top power play unit, giving more opportunity to put up points.

Brock Faber (D, MIN) vs. MON ($3,800 / $4,600)
DFO Projection: DK-9.3 / FD-12.55

Faber continues to pop on both sites, and is the top defensive value option on DraftKings and FanDuel. He continues to play big minutes, and his price isn’t increasing much, if at all.

Rasmus Sandin (D, WSH) @ CBJ($3,500 / $3,900)
DFO Projection: DK-6.72 / FD-8.74

Sandin plays the majority of his 5v5 minutes with Dylan Strome and WSH1, making this an appealing mini-stack on a massive slate. Sandin comes with low ownership, and a good option to help differentiate a chaulky stack.

Juuse Saros (G, WSH) – vs. NYI – ($7,800 / $7,100)
DFO Projection:
DK-13 / FD-17.4

Saros will likely be the highest owned goaltender on both sites, but he is way too cheap in a great matchup.

Top 3 Punt Defencemen

  1. Michael Kesselring, ARI ($2,900/N/A): DK-6.36
  2. Jacob Bernard-Docker, OTT ($3,100/$3,800): DK-4.42 / FD-5.54
  3. Andrew Peeke, CBJ ($3,100/$3,500): DK-5.3 / FD-6.68
