We’ve got a huge 13-game slate tonight with three heavy favourites, and several players at each position are jumping out as great value options who are either in critical roles for their team or providing great production.

This value sheet includes salaries, projections for DraftKings and FanDuel, and three punt defencemen options.

These projections don’t tell you exactly what’s going to happen. One game sample has too much randomness to pin down exact predictions. Instead, the projections represent a player’s average performance on average if that matchup was played repeatedly. There is a wide range of possible outcomes, and the projections represent each player’s average of those possibilities.

FULL DFO Daily Projections

Josh Anderson (W, MTL) – vs SJS – (DK-$3,000 / FD -$4,400)
DFO Projection:
DK-7.6 / FD-9.6

Not that we should be surprised, but putting players playing against the San Jose Sharks is usually a good idea. On DraftKings, it’s an excellent idea, with Anderson being one of the top value plays on the slate. While his price may not commensurate with potential production on FanDuel as much, Juraj Slafkovsky is a good option at $3,800 and a 10.1 point projection.

Andrei Svechnikov (W, CAR) – @ ANA – ($5,800 / $6,100)
DFO Projection:
DK-11.5 / FD-18.1

Svechnikov is an excellent play on both sites and is well below where he should be salary-wise, projecting to 2x his salary on DraftKings, and 3x it on FanDuel. Much like the Anderson play against San Jose, we love to play players against the Anaheim Ducks, who Svechnikov’s Canes take on tonight.

Lukas Cormier (D, VGK) vs BOS ($2,700 / N/A)
DFO Projection: DK-6.3 / FD-N/A

Cormier remains a DraftKings-only play, and an excellent one at that, averaging 6.1 DKFPPG through his first two games. He’s notched an assist, three shots on goal and two blocks, and is getting time on their top power play unit.

Cormier was assigned to the AHL not long before lock. Nic Hague is a strong pivot.

Will Borgen (D, SEA) @ WAS ($2,900 / $3,700)
DFO Projection: DK-6.1 / FD-8.1

A strong play on both sites, Borgen is. He’s quietly been having a very strong season, and he’s starting to show up in the value charts.

Top 3 Punt Defencemen

  1. Jordan Harris, MTL ($2,500/$4,000): DK-5.9 / FD-7.7
  2. Jaycob Megna, CHI ($3,100/$3,500): DK-6.6 / FD-8.8
  3. Mattias Samuelsson, BUF ($3,200/$3,800): DK-6.6 / FD-8.2
