We’ve got a great slate tonight, with several players at each position jumping out as great value options who are either in critical roles for their team or providing great production.

This value sheet includes salaries, projections for DraftKings and FanDuel, and three punt defencemen options.

These projections don’t tell you exactly what’s going to happen. One game sample has too much randomness to pin down exact predictions. Instead, the projections represent a player’s average performance on average if that matchup was played repeatedly. There is a wide range of possible outcomes, and the projections represent each player’s average of those possibilities.

FULL DFO Daily Projections

Michael McLeod (C, NJD) – vs. MON – (DK-$3,200 / FD -$4,400)
DFO Projection:
DK-8.6 / FD-11.4

Dawson Mercer (W, NJD) – vs. MON – (DK-$4,200 / FD -$5,800)
DFO Projection:
DK-10.8 / FD-14.4

We’re going with a two-for-one here with NJD2’s Michael McLeod and Dawson Mercer, who are a very appetizing option on this three-game turned two-game slate. Their projected for nearly half the ownership as their NJD1 counterparts, and while their ceiling isn’t as high, their matchup is better. It’s hard to “get different” on a two-game slate like this, but NJD2 offers some of that.

Anton Lundell (C, FLA) – vs DET – ($3,100 / $3,800)
DFO Projection:
DK-5.8 / FD-7.3

The Panthers will be without Aleksander Barkov on their top line tonight against the Detroit Red Wings, so a new look lineup has elevated Eetu Luostarinen and Lundell to the top line alongside Sam Reinhart. Both are solid options, but Lundell brings with him higher shot volume, and a .7 ixG/60 to G/60 ratio, meaning he’s more than due to find the back of the net.

David Savard (D, MON) @ FLA ($5,700 / $6,000)
DFO Projection: DK-11 / FD-14.2

Despite having the highest point projection among all defencemen on either site, Savard is projected to have the 12th-highest ownership. With as much value as is floating around on this slate, whether it’s with NJD2 or FLA1, it shouldn’t be hard to fit a low-owned Savard into your lineups.

Luke Hughes (D, NJD) vs MON ($4,100 / $5,200)
DFO Projection: DK-8.4 / FD-11.4

While DFS players seem to focus on the Devils’ shiny new Simon Nemec — and rightly so — Luke Hughes seems to be falling to the wayside, and it shows with him projecting for roughly five percent less ownership than his teammate. This, meanwhile, with Hughes manning the Devils. And while that unit may not excel, the Canadiens have the league’s 30th-ranked PK, according to Daily Faceoff. Another good spot to get different.

Top Punt Defencemen

  1. Colin Miller, NJD ($2,800/ $3,900: DK-6.2 / FD-7.8
  2. Niko Mikkola, FLA ($2,900/$4,000): DK-5.8 / FD-7.1
  3. Kevin Bahl, NJD ($2,500/$3,600): DK-3.9 / FD-5.0
