Dallas Stars radio analyst Bruce LeVine reported on X that forward Evgeni Dadonov will return to the lineup tonight vs. St Louis Blues after missing an extended period of time with a lower-body injury.

Forward Tyler Seguin will be the healthy scratch tonight.

The 35-year-old has tallied 12 goals and 11 assists for 23 points through 50 games and has turned into a reliable depth and role player on the Stars squad.

Dadonov is in his second season with Dallas after being traded by the Montreal Canadiens at the 2023 trade deadline, the Russian forward notched 15 points in 23 games with the Stars to close out the regular season and added 10 points in 16 Stanley Cup Playoff contests.

Through 536 NHL games, Dadonov has 143 goals and 178 assists for 321 points with the Stars, Canadiens, Vegas Golden Knights, Ottawa Senators and Florida Panthers. He recorded a career-high 70 points (28 goals and 42 assists) with the Panthers in 2018-19, and hit 65 points the season prior.

Meanwhile, Seguin will sit out for tonight’s contest, the 32-year-old has 25 goals and 27 assists for 52 points in 68 games this season.

Dallas needs just one point to clinch the Western Conference title tonight and could do so with either a win or if the game goes to overtime regardless of the outcome.

The Stars have a 51-21-9 record with 111 points and sit first in the West and first in the Central Division. Following tonight’s game, the Stars will get ready to face off against the Los Angeles Kings in round 1 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
