Desperate Jets team make wholesale changes to their Game 5 lineup

The Winnipeg Jets are facing elimination on home-ice this afternoon, but their lineup looks vastly different to the one that dropped Game 4 in Las Vegas.

Facing a 3-1 series deficit, a Jets team on the ropes made three lineup changes during warmups prior to Sunday’s contest. The biggest is Dmitry Kulikov playing for the first time since March 8th. Kulikov, who was out with a back injury was cleared to play in Game 2 against the Golden Knights, but sat out the last two games as a healthy scratch. This afternoon he will switch places with veteran defenseman Tobias Enstrom, who really hasn’t been all that bad in the series.

Toby Enstrom's numbers over the two games in Vegas.
Game 3:
CF%: 57.1
HDCF/CA: 3/1
Game 4:
CF%: 56.5
HDCF/CA: 3/1#NHLJets

The other blueline change is Joe Morrow getting re-inserted back into the lineup for Ben Chiarot. Morrow, who will skate with Dustin Byfuglien, has just one goal in five games during the postseason. Up front, Joel Armia will take the spot of Andrew Copp.

Andrew Copp, Toby Enstrom and Ben Chiarot are out of the #NHLJets lineup for game 5. All 3 are healthy scratches.

It’s do or die for the Jets and this is their last ditch effort at staying alive.
