Red Wings’ Cossa, Rangers’ Perreault among top NHL prospects named to 2026 AHL All-Star Game

The NHL may be skipping out on an All-Star Game this season thanks to the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics, but that doesn’t mean hockey fans will be completely starved of All-Star action.
On Thursday, the AHL announced the rosters for their All-Star Classic to be held on February 10th and 11th in Rockford, Illinois.

The event will feature AHL stalwarts and exciting NHL prospects alike. Much like in the NHL All-Star festivities, the AHL’s four divisions will each have a team consisting of 10 skaters and two goaltenders. On February 11th, the four teams will compete in a 3-on-3 round robin tournament, with the games being eight minutes each. The two teams with the best records from the round robin will face off in a final 3-on-3 game to determine the All-Star champions.
Representing the Atlantic Division are exciting prospects such as Lehigh Valley Phantoms forward Denver Barkey, who has played 11 games for the Philadelphia Flyers this season, and Hartford Wolf Pack forward Gabe Perreault, who has played 15 games for the New York Rangers.
Among the North Division All-Stars are Syracuse Crunch forward and top Tampa Bay Lightning prospect Conor Geekie, along with Rochester Americans forward and Buffalo Sabres 2024 first-round pick Konsta Helenius.
On the Central Division’s team is Grand Rapids Griffins goaltender and Detroit Red Wings prospect Sebastian Cossa, as well as Chicago Wolves forward and Carolina Hurricanes 2023 first-round pick Bradly Nadeau.
The Pacific Division’s squad will feature Calgary Wranglers forward and Calgary Flames 2024 first-round pick Matvei Gridin, along with Tuscon Roadrunners defenseman and top Utah Mammoth prospect Dmitry Simashev.
The All-Star festivities will also include the Skills Competition, which will take place on February 10th, as well as the AHL Hall of Fame Induction and Awards Ceremony, which will take place on February 11th.
