Fantasy: Risers & Fallers (Week 22)

RISERS
Jared McCann, C/LW, Seattle Kraken (OWNED: 59%)
Over his past 10 outings, the 26-year-old has racked up seven goals and 12 points playing predominantly on Seattle’s top line alongside Matty Beniers and Jordan Eberle. McCann, who continues to fly completely under the radar, is quietly on pace for his first career 40-goal campaign. Must own.
Andrei Kuzmenko, LW/RW, Vancouver Canucks (OWNED: 56%)
In 19 contests since Rick Tocchet took over behind the bench in Vancouver, the dual-eligible winger has 13 goals and 18 points. Furthermore, the 27-year-old is up to 32 goals and 59 points in 64 games this season. Another must-add player.
Jason Zucker, LW, Pittsburgh Penguins (OWNED: 37%)
If you’re looking for some goal scoring help, go out and grab the Pens winger immediately. The 31-year-old’s notched at least one goal in four straight outings and seven of his past eight. In general, the Zucker/Malkin combo has been money in the bank lately for the suddenly surging Pittsburgh Penguins.
William Karlsson, C/LW, Vegas Golden Knights (OWNED: 24%)
Karlsson has two goals and four points over a three-game point streak and five points in his past four contests. Lately, he’s developed some solid chemistry with linemates Reilly Smith and Pavel Dorofeyev.
Mason McTavish, C/LW, Anaheim Ducks (OWNED: 20%)
He’s not going to win the Calder Trophy, but at the very least, it appears McTavish will finish off his first season in the NHL strong. Over the past games, he’s averaged a point per game (two goals (five assists) for a Ducks squad that’s merely playing out the string. Imagine a McTavish/Connor Bedard combo in Anaheim?
Mason Marchment, LW/RW, Dallas Stars (OWNED: 19%)
The time is nigh to jump back in on Marchment, especially with Dallas slated to play four times this week. During his current four-game point streak, the dual-eligible winger has potted three goals and added three helpers for six points. Take a flier.
Barrett Hayton, C, Arizona Coyotes (OWNED: 11%)
Slowly but surely, the secret’s starting to get on the Yotes pivot. Over a mini four game point streak, Hayton’s tallied three goals and five helpers. Additionally, he’s notched 11 points (five goals, six assists) in his past eight games and 16 points in 17 games since the All-Star break. Sneaky value here.
FALLERS
Connor Hellebuyck, G, Winnipeg Jets (OWNED: 100%)
Indisputably, Hellebuyck owners are hoping that Sunday’s 33 save effort against Tampa was the start of something substantial. The 29-year-old has really struggled lately, which obviously is tough timing for all involved. At least he plays a lot.
Thomas Chabot, D, Ottawa Senators (OWNED: 82%)
For a guy many had ranked in the top-100 going into the season, unequivocally, Chabot has failed to live up to expectation in 2022-23. Furthermore, he has just one point – an assist – in the past six games. With Jakob Chychrun now in town, it’s likely Chabot’s fantasy value will continue to plummet. Don’t be afraid to cut bait.
Timo Meier, LW/RW, New Jersey Devils (OWNED: 99%)
All in all, it’s been a sluggish offensive start for Meier with his new squad. Through five games, he’s tallied just one point: a goal in his first game. And with many of you getting set for fantasy playoffs, this could not be happening at a worse time. Keep the faith; that’s all you can do.
