DFS Lines to Target: 01/28/20

It’s an unusually quiet Tuesday night in the NHL. The only two games on the slate are Sabres vs. Senators and Flames vs. Blues. I’ve highlighted my top medium-priced and value stacks to help you out. Best of luck!
Medium-Priced
Buffalo 1 – Zemgus Girgensons ($2,900), Jack Eichel ($7,800), Sam Reinhart ($5,600)
Buffalo’s top line has a solid matchup tonight against the Senators. This unit will see a mix of Ottawa’s top-nine lines — none of which have been particularly good at five-on-five. Eichel and Reinhart own a solid 51.82 CF% in almost 700 minutes of ice time this season and should generate plenty of chances. Girgensons doesn’t have the same offensive upside as the other two guys, but he’s scored three times in the last five games and is worth throwing in for the cheap price.
Eichel and Reinhart also offer great value due to their role on the first power-play unit. Eichel has racked up 19 of his 60-plus points with the man advantage, so look for him to go to work against an average penalty kill. When you consider that the Sens are allowing the third-highest amount of goals in the NHL (3.33), it’s hard to find a better stack than Buffalo 1 tonight.
Value Stack
St. Louis 3 – Alex Steen ($3,100), Robert Thomas ($4,200), Tyler Bozak ($3,800)
When it comes to the later game on tonight’s slate, the top two lines on each team are fairly evenly matched against each other. The Blues’ third line offers the best value due to their matchup. Steen, Thomas and Bozak will be matched against Calgary’s Lucic, Jankowski and Dube line. This St.Louis trio has been impressive this season with a 52.59 CF% and 51.22 HDCF%, while Lucic and Dube own a 49.25 CF% together this season.
Thomas has been a reliable contributor this season with eight goals and 27 points in 45 games, while Bozak has contributed 11 goals and 24 points. Steen was hot before the All-Star break with four goals in five games before being held off the scoresheet last night against Vancouver. Each player in this stack also plays on the second power-play unit, so there’s some nice value overall here when you consider Calgary gave up five goals in their last game and have allowed a power-play marker in consecutive outings.
