DFS Lines to Target: 03/10/20

There are eight games on tap for this Tuesday night in the NHL. I’ve gone over my top medium-priced and value stacks to help you out. Good luck!

Medium-Priced

Carolina 1 – Andrei Svechnikov ($5,900), Sebastian Aho ($7,100), Teuvo Teravainen ($5,800)

Carolina’s first line is going to have a very favorable matchup in their game against the Red Wings tonight. They will see a mix of Detroit’s top-nine and will hold an even-strength advantage in each one of those matchups. This trio owns a lethal 59.08 CF% this season, while Detroit’s best line of Bertuzzi, Mantha and Larkin owns a 53.18 CF%. Carolina’s top line has been their driving offensive force all season, and that hasn’t changed in recent weeks. Aho has scored five times in his last 10 games, while Teravainen has really been playing well with three goals and six points in that same span.

All three players in this stack play on Carolina’s first power-play unit and should feast on a weak Red Wings’ penalty kill that ranks second last in the NHL at just 75.2% efficiency. Detroit continues to be one of the worst defensive teams in general, allowing four or more goals in all but three of their last 12 games. They’ll likely be turning in goal to the struggling Jimmy Howard, who was pulled in his last outing against Minnesota after allowing five goals. Howard is riding a 20-game losing streak in which he’s posted a miserable 4.62 GAA and .871 SV%.

Value Stack

Nashville 2 – Filip Forsberg ($5,500), Matt Duchene ($4,500), Mikael Granlund ($4,800)

Nashville’s second line is priced very nicely in their game against Montreal this evening. They’ve put up a lethal 58.94 CF% and 61.36 HDCF% this season and will be matched up against Montreal’s top line of Paul Byron, Joel Armia and Phillip Danault. This is a brand new top line for the Habs, but when Armia and Danault have played together over the last two years, they’ve posted a concerning 43.66 CF% and 44.83 HDCF%.

Duchene comes into this game with three points in his last four games, including netting a power-play goal in a recent outing against Dallas, while Forsberg also had a power-play marker in that contest. Granlund continues to offer sneaky good DFS value with three goals and six points in his last 10 outings. The Habs have allowed four goals in back-to-back losses and have fallen out of the playoff picture. Nashville needs every point they can get in the playoff race, so with their second line having the most favorable matchup tonight, look for them to create tons of chances in all situations against Montreal.
