Dustin Byfuglien returns to practice, should play

Byfuglien skated with the team today and is expected to play on the top pairing alongside Tobias Enstrom.

Dustin Byfuglien left last night’s game during the first period after blocking a shot in the Atlanta Thrashers’ 2-1 loss to the Florida Panthers.  For the time being the Thrashers’ offensive defenseman has been listed as day-to-day with a lower body injury.

Through his first 19 games as a Thrasher, Byfuglien has failed to disappoint with five goals and 16 points on the year– tied for fourth amongst defenseman.
