EA Sports NHL to add women’s hockey

At long last, women’s hockey is coming to the EA Sports NHL franchise.
The company announced Thursday that the biggest stars from the world of women’s hockey will be available to play this January. It will come in the form of playing the IIHF Tournament as part of a larger partnership with the international organization.
“The introduction of women’s national teams to NHL 22 as part of the upcoming IIHF content will be an important moment for the franchise in its continued effort to reflect the diversity of the hockey community,” said EA SPORTS vice-president and general manager Sean Ramjagsingh said in a statement. “We are proud to feature playable women’s teams for the first time in NHL 22, alongside the rising stars on the World Juniors teams.”
On top of the addition of women’s hockey, NHL 22 players will also be able to play the men’s World Hockey Championships and the World Junior Hockey Championships.
