Fans complaining about NHL reffing accomplishes nothing

After last night’s Toronto Maple Leafs versus Tampa Bay Lightning game, it has renewed arguments and complaints about the officiating in today’s game. Frank Seravalli took to the garbage time segment to share his thoughts and spicy take regarding the whole ordeal.
Frank Seravalli: I am so tired of hearing fanbases complain about penalties when it comes to the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Leave them alone; leave the refs alone. I’m not backing them saying they’re 100% perfect. But like what is that going to accomplish? I like how Auston Matthews came out after game one and just said, “Yeah, most of the penalties called were penalties” I think, for the most part, they get it right, and when it comes to like some like 5-minute major reviews, which we have seen in the start of the playoffs and both times they’ve gotten it right. That hit that Michael Bunting had was a penalty any day of the week, and I like how he was complaining after the fact, like, shut up, stop it. Guys like Sheldon Keefe can’t compose themselves enough to get through it. There was a clip if you watched the ESPN feed closely, there was a second in time where Jon Cooper was getting ready to yell at the refs, and he bit his hand. He was like, “Hold on a second, I need to calm down” Your team feeds off your energy, and your fan base feeds off your energy. The Maple Leafs need a lot of composure; other teams do as well. Like the Edmonton Oilers fanbase, they seem to be complaining that they didn’t lose game one, the refs cost them game one. No, no, your team and their lack of composure was why you weren’t able to win and get through the final 17 seconds.
