Fantasy Hockey 2026-27: Weekly Strength of Schedule and Streaming Targets — Week 3

Welcome to Week 3 of the Daily Faceoff Fantasy Strength of Schedule, your weekly guide to which teams’ schedules are worth streaming and which ones to avoid.

This week runs Monday, Oct. 12 to Sunday, Oct. 18, with 50 games on the schedule. Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday are all light nights with three or fewer games, so those are the nights to target if you have an open roster spot. Tuesday is the busiest night of the week with 16 games, followed by Saturday with 14 and Thursday with 11. That means streamers will have a tough time cracking your lineup on all three nights.

The Minnesota Wild lead the way with 3.05 True Games, followed by the Vegas Golden Knights, Colorado Avalanche, Florida Panthers and Ottawa Senators. At the other end, the Los Angeles Kings have the toughest week for streamers at just 0.71 True Games. They play only twice, against Edmonton on Tuesday and Boston on Saturday, and both games fall on the week’s busiest nights.

Below you’ll find all 32 teams ranked, with every matchup color-coded and each team’s light-night games counted.

Week 3 Streaming Targets

Minnesota Wild

Blake Coleman (C/LW) – 21% Rostered

Coleman is the most reliable Wild streamer of the week. He’s the only one among their widely available players who sees consistent ice time and generates consistent shot volume. He’ll likely already be rostered in banger leagues, but in standard formats, Coleman should be among the most valuable streamers of the week.

In his first five games with the Wild, Coleman has recorded two goals and one assist while averaging 2.2 SOG and 3.2 shot attempts per game. He’s also done an excellent job generating high-danger chances, ranking 37th in the NHL (and third on the Wild) in ixG per game (0.47). He also leads Minnesota in Grade A Scoring Chances per game (1.4).

Ryan Hartman (C/RW) – 10% Rostered

Hartman has traditionally been a strong streaming option, but he’s been basically non-existent this season. He registered four SOG in his last game, but prior to that, he had zero shots through four games.

He’s playing significantly less than he normally does and has basically been a ghost when he’s on the ice. He ranks seventh on the Wild in both ixG (0.13) and Offence Generating Plays (4.0) per game. So, while he’s still among the better streaming options on the team, that’s not saying much.

Maxim Shabanov (RW) – 5% Rostered

Shabanov is no longer skating on a line with Kirill Kaprizov (as of Saturday), but he remains on PP1. He’s been as offensively uninvolved as Hartman, though his role is slightly more desirable.

Shabanov is at least averaging 2.0 SOG and 3.7 shot attempts over his last three games. You can convince me there’s some offensive upside here, especially with his power-play role, which is more than I can say for Hartman.

Danila Yurov (C/RW) – 3% Rostered

Yurov is another player who, according to the metrics, is basically just out there doing cardio. He ranks 391st in the NHL in ixG (0.09) and 309th in Offence Generating Plays (3.4) per game.

Unless you’re in the deepest league imaginable, there’s probably no reason to drop anyone for Yurov.

Bobby Brink (RW) – 1% Rostered

Brink has picked up three primary assists through five games and is averaging 1.8 SOG and 3.0 shot attempts per game, so he at least provides a reasonable floor in terms of shot volume. Beyond that, though, there isn’t much to get excited about here.

Colorado Avalanche

Gabriel Landeskog (LW/RW) – 32% Rostered

It’s been a very quiet start for Landeskog, who has just one goal and one assist through five games. Most concerning is that his shot volume has evaporated. It’s difficult to rely on consistent production when he’s averaging just 2.6 shot attempts per game and ranks 10th on the Avalanche in Offence Generating Plays (4.2) per game.

Jaden Schwartz (C/LW) – 11% Rostered

Schwartz enjoyed a big week last week, recording three goals and one assist in three games. On the season, he has six points (3G / 3A) through five games but has scored 1.48 goals above expected.

He’s obviously not going to maintain a 33.3 SH% all season, but you just need him to stay hot on Wednesday and Friday. I don’t mind riding the hot stick, even if his ice time and shot volume aren’t particularly encouraging.

T.J. Hughes (RW) – 3% Rostered

Surprisingly, Hughes is probably my favourite Avalanche streamer of the week. He has just one assist through five games, but the underlying metrics suggest there’s more offence to come.

He’s averaging 2.8 SOG and 5.0 shot attempts per game while ranking third on the Avalanche in ixG and fifth in Offence Generating Plays. He’s also been snake-bitten so far, scoring 1.65 goals below expected, the 10th-worst mark in the NHL.

The production hasn’t been there yet, but the process has been encouraging, making Hughes an intriguing streaming option this week.
