Trying to decide which goalies to start is a dilemma that Fantasy Hockey owners face daily.

We here at DailyFaceoff try to make being a Fantasy Owner as easy as possible. Each day, we will rank the day’s starting goalies based on their Projected Win%, Goals Against Average, and SV%. Win percentage and expected goals against are generated from Sportsbooks Odds and Implied Totals.

Dan Vladar (@ STL) – 12% Rostered

Vladar has not lost in regulation in eight straight starts, going 5-0-3 with a .905 SV%. The Flames are one of the best defensive teams in the NHL, ranking third in xGA/60 (2.72) over their last 25 games. During the same stretch, St. Louis is 27th in xGF/60 (2.74) so this sets up as a nice matchup for Vladar. He has the sixth-highest implied win% (61.5%) and tied for the fifth-lowest implied goals against (2.70) on the slate, making him the best spot-start option of Thursday’s 24 starting goalies.
