Trying to decide which goalies to start is a dilemma that Fantasy Hockey owners face daily.
We here at DailyFaceoff try to make being a Fantasy Owner as easy as possible. Each day, we will rank the day’s starting goalies based on their Projected Win%, Goals Against Average, and SV%. Win percentage and expected goals against are generated from Sportsbooks Odds and Implied Totals.
In addition to the Starting Goalies Rankings table, we will have a write-up about the best streaming options for that day (if any).

Casey DeSmith (PIT @ ANA) – 25% Rostered
DeSmith has had some shaky outings this season but is coming off an outstanding game vs. The Avalanche on Tuesday. He stopped 41 of 42 shots in an overtime win over Colorado and has now stopped 40-plus shots in two of his last three games. He draws a much easier assignment on Friday, facing a Ducks team that is 28th in xGF/60 (2.72) and last in GF/60 (2.40) this season. They’ll also be without Troy Terry, who is second on the team with 42 points (13G / 29A). DeSmith has the highest implied win% (73.1%) and lowest implied goals against (2.50) on the slate, so he makes for an excellent spot-start option heading into the weekend.
