Trying to decide which goalies to start is a dilemma that Fantasy Hockey owners face daily.
We here at DailyFaceoff try to make being a Fantasy Owner as easy as possible. Each day, we will rank the day’s starting goalies based on their Projected Win%, Goals Against Average, and SV%. Win percentage and expected goals against are generated from Sportsbooks Odds and Implied Totals.
In addition to the Starting Goalies Rankings table, we will have a write-up about the best streaming options for that day (if any).

Alex Stalock (CHI @ DET) – 7% Rostered
With just three games on the schedule on Wednesday, there aren’t many spot-starts to choose from. Stalock grades out better than Lukas Dostal of the Ducks and is coming off a stellar 35-save shutout over the Senators on Monday. Stalock has now posted two shutouts in his last five starts, going 3-2-0 with a 2.28 GAA and .932 SV% over that stretch. Tonight he’ll face a Red Wings team that went from the fringes of the Eastern Conference Finals to completely out of the picture in just two weeks. They’ve lost six in a row and have been outscored 27-to-9 (4.5 to 1.5 per game). Stalock doesn’t have the strongest roster in front of him, and the Blackhawks are +213 underdogs, so there’s risk in starting him, but he’s shown he can have standout performances.
