Fantasy Hockey: Daily Goalie Rankings – 03/16/23

Welcome to our Goalie Rankings brought to you by NHL Lines site Betway!

Trying to decide which goalies to start is a dilemma that Fantasy Hockey owners face daily.

We here at DailyFaceoff try to make being a Fantasy Owner as easy as possible. Each day, we will rank the day’s starting goalies based on their Projected Win%, Goals Against Average, and SV%. Win percentage and expected goals against are generated from Sportsbooks Odds and Implied Totals.

In addition to the Starting Goalies Rankings table, we will have a write-up about the best streaming options for that day (if any).

Keep an eye on our Starting Goalies page to ensure the goals listed below are CONFIRMED to start.

Philipp Grubauer (SEA @ SJS) – 36% Rostered

Pheonix Copley (LAK) grades out as the best spot-start option, but he’s 54% rostered, so he’s likely unavailable in your league. Check before adding Grubauer.

Grubauer hasn’t been sharp in his last two outings, allowing a combined nine goals on just 56 shots (.839 SV%). Those games were against the Senators and Stars, who rank in the top-11 in goals over the last 25 games. Tonight he faces a Sharks team that is 30th over that same stretch, so he should be a little easier to trust this evening. Grubauer has the fourth-highest implied win% (63.9%) and fifth-lowest implied goals against (2.90) on the slate. The Kraken had an optional morning skate, and head coach Dave Hakstol won’t talk to the media until closer to game time. Ensure Grubauer is confirmed to start before using a transaction to pluck him off the waiver wire.
