Casey DeSmith (VAN) – vs. MTL (40% Owned)
DeSmith has been the de facto starting netminder for the Canucks since Thatcher Demko suffered a lower-body injury. In the three and a half games since Demko has been unavailable, DeSmith has been serviceable, posting a respectable .906 SV% and a 1-1-1 record. The 32-year-old DeSmith hasn’t been confirmed to tend the twine for the Canucks yet, but he is coming off a victory and has a 22-year-old Arturs Silovs with only five games of NHL experience as his counterpart, suggesting that DeSmith is a good bet to start. Nevertheless, confirm with our Starting Goalies closer to puck drop before committing to DeSmith’s services.
